The all-new 2024 GMC Acadia has finally begun to arrive at dealerships in the U.S., as confirmed by several dealer posts on social media indicating that the crossover is now available at their location.
The 2024Â GMC Acadia debuts an all-new third generation of Big Red’s three-row crossover model, introducing a full overhaul to both the exterior and interior of the vehicle as well as significant re-engineering. The most noticeable change at first glance is the increased size of 2024 Acadia.
While the second generation, which ended with the 2023 model year, is configured as a mid-size crossover, the third-gen Acadia is a full-size crossover. Customer demands for more elbow room inside the model may have played a role in this change, but we’ve also argued that logistics may be behind the move. Production of the 2024 GMC Acadia at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant, where the Chevy Traverse and Buick Enclave are also made, is likely significantly streamlined by making all three with roughly the same dimensions.
Another highly visible exterior change in the 2024 Acadia is the redesign of its greenhouse to feature connected daylight openings. In addition to an 80-percent boost to cargo space behind the third seating row, the all-new third-gen Acadia gets a 15-inch diagonal infotainment screen alongside an 11-inch diagonal driver information center. Technological goodies include Google built-in, nine available camera views, Forward Collision Alert, Following Distance Indicator, and Rear Park Assist, plus numerous other features.
Pricing for the 2024 GMC Acadia starts at $43,995 for the entry-level Elevation trim configured with FWD, while the most expensive variant, the range-topping Denali trim with AWD, has a starting MSRP of $57,695. These prices include a destination freight charge of $1,395: Notably, the 2024 model year’s configurator has been live since early April.
As a reminder, the 2024 Acadia is motivated exclusively by the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine developing 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, mated to the GM eight-speed automatic transmission.

What? Isn’t it kind of late for 24’s to be arriving at the dealers?
Sure is. A number of ’25 models are arriving at dealerships. It’s the same story with the ’24 Buick Envision – ’24s soon to arrive. GM doesn’t have its act in gear. clearly. Distracted by focusing attention on all those EVs that no one wants.
No electric cars for me . Good for mail delivery!
We just passed 4 months in to 2024, We still have nearly 8 months left, why is it too early?
“too late”
Try to keep up.
It doesn’t matter at all when a new model is released. Many of the comments on this site are from folks in their 80’s and 90’s who still think new model years all start at the same time, late summer/early fall like they did in the “good old days”. Car companies realized decades ago it is much more efficient to bring out new models year round, rather than at just one time of year.
It does matter for financing and resale values. Often the banks use August or September to determine the age of vehicles
Bought a brand new Acadia Dec 2023 then March 2024 transmission locks up in first gear! Researched after the fact and found out this is a common problem for Acadia. Took GM a week to get it fixed. Hoping this issue doesn’t happen again. Love the looks of the Acadia but worry about it breaking down again.
Was considering Acadia back in 2022 for purchase, but a gm tech gave some much appreciated advice & we went another brand. Glad we did!
Bruce,
I bought two new Equinox’s in 2022, a 2022 in February and a 2023 in December. Which one is newer and worth more assuming the condition and mileage is the same?
In a couple of months when most 25’s are rolling in your 2024 that’s just a few months old will really be a year old.
Why I can’t buy in Switzerland???
Why is there no GPS system available for the 2024 acadia. Where do I find all the options available
They force you to use Google, Apple or Onstar.
A reason I traded to a 24 Terrain 2 months ago.
Embedded Nav . Tired of monthly fees for EVERYTHING .
GPS is part of Google infotainment screen
Thanks I called the dealership and got no reply
Have a great weekend
Google charges you a monthly “data fee”.
I’ll be passing on the new Acadia until it offers a PHEV (or regular hybrid) version with AWD that gets over 30 mpg (both city and highway). The gas mileage is terrible for a brand new redesign. I am insisting on better fuel economy, as I won’t be buying an EV for a long time.
