2024 Buick Envision Cinnabar Metallic Paint No Longer Available To Order

Officially breaking cover last year, the 2024 Buick Envision offers up a refresh for the second-gen crossover complete with a range of exterior and interior updates. Notably, the upcoming 2024 Buick Envision has yet to reach U.S. dealerships, but is already undergoing a change with regard to the available exterior paint lineup before its official market debut.

According to GM Authority sources, the 2024 Buick Envision is unavailable to order in Cinnabar Metallic paint (paint code GEJ).

GM Authority sources indicated that Cinnabar Metallic paint will be built out for the 2024 Envision after the week of May 27th. Cinnabar Metallic was first introduced to the Envision paint palette in 2021 in conjunction with the launch of the second-generation Envision crossover. The paint option will be unavailable to order for the remainder of the 2024 model year, and it’s currently unclear if this paint option will return for the 2025 model year.

For those readers who may have missed it, the 2024 Buick Envision ushers in a mid-cycle refresh that includes updated exterior styling cues taken from the Buick Wildcat EV concept, with a revamped grille and modern LED lighting enhancing the Envision’s aesthetic appeal. Additionally, the 2024 Envision introduces significant technological and comfort upgrades, such as a new 30-inch infotainment screen stretched across the dashboard, as well as the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system.

Under the hood, you’ll find the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The GM E2 platform provides the  underpinnings, while production takes place at the SAIC-GM Jinqiao South plant in China.

As GM Authority covered previously, the 2024 model year for the Envision is expected to be unusually short. Following a delayed launch in the U.S., production of the 2025 model year is scheduled to commence quickly thereafter, with regular production kicking off as early as August 5th, 2024.

  1. Probably will change to Cherry Red in 25 MY, like the Enclave.

  2. I have Cinnabar metalic on my 2023 Buick Envision Avenir, and like it very much. The hues change with the various light conditions. Not sure why it has been discontinued for the near future. GM weirdness, I guess. However, nice to be a unique colour on the block. Breaks the “white” monotony.
