GM crossover sales grew 23 percent to 263,780 units in the United States during the fourth quarter of 2023. The figures include models with internal combustion engines as well as electric vehicles.
GM offers 19 unibody crossovers across all four brands, which include ICE models and EVs. However, one of those models, the Buick Encore, has been discontinued and indirectly replaced by the all-new Buick Envista. These crossovers accounted for 80 percent, or four-fifths, of all GM utility sales, even though only a third posted sales in the green during Q4 2023.

Those three models alone accounted for 48 percent, or nearly half, of overall GM crossover sales in the U.S.
The top three fastest-growing crossovers for Q4 2023 were the Trax, the refreshed Buick Encore GX subcompact with a 52 percent jump in sales to 13,755 units, and Buick Enclave posting a 42 percent bump for 10,929 deliveries.
Chevy models accounted for two-thirds, or 65 percent, of overall GM crossover sales, with the Bow Tie brand fielding five of the top six models and the most entries among The General’s brands. Specifically, Chevy makes up eight of the 19 crossovers sold by GM in its home market. Buick accounted for 16 percent of overall sales with five models (though, as mentioned earlier, one has been discontinued), which is all the premium marque sells in the U.S. GMC followed with 11 percent of sales from just two crossovers. Cadillac accounted for seven percent with its four models.
GM fields four all-electric utilities – just crossovers for now – with Chevy selling the Chevy Bolt EV and Bolt EUV along with the Chevy Blazer EV, while Cadillac sells the Cadillac Lyriq.

Comments
Why are GM and Ford fan sites lamely posting Q4 results when Q1 are now available? This always happens and it’s pathetic.
Why are they still called “cross overs”?
Most everything GM sells is an SUV derivative.
What is it crossing over?
Only 19 models offered? Need more variety, lol.
The Trax has become a best seller. I said that consumers want affordable vehicles. These sales numbers prove this.
Start up another Trax plant in North America. Why is the only option half way around the world when it could be, shipping-ocean risk free, on our own shores?
