As we anticipated several weeks ago on GM Authority, General Motors has just officially revealed the updated 2025 Chevy S10 in Brazil.
The automaker’s Brazilian subsidiary revealed the first official images of the fully updated 2025 Chevy S10, representing a profound evolution and one of the most notable changes to Chevrolet‘s Brazilian-made midsize pickup. In fact, the 2025 S10 includes important design innovations, cutting-edge technologies, and a new mechanical package that will make it stand out as one of the most advanced models in its class.
“The New S10 arrives as the most innovative in its category. All of this under the auspices of the Chevrolet brand, a global leader in the development of pickup trucks,” said Vice President of Sales, After-Sales and Marketing at GM South America, Rafael Santos. “Our purpose was to create a product that exceeded the needs of our customers, and that could also surprise the entire market,” he added.
Despite being a comprehensive update rather than a complete redesign, the 2025 Chevy S10 features substantial changes, making it one of the most advanced and innovative pickups in the Brazilian automotive market. Highlights include the new front design inspired by the American Chevy Colorado but with unique elements such as the trapezoidal shape of the grille, headlights with arrow-shaped ends, and softened body lines.
The rear of the updated 2025 Chevy S10 receives redesigned taillights and a new tailgate with the Chevrolet name stamped on it while maintaining the stabilizer bar and closed cargo box configuration. The interior is entirely new, with a high dashboard and elements in a horizontal arrangement. Chevrolet’s Virtual Cockpit System stands out with an 11-inch multimedia screen connected to a generous digital instrument panel.
In addition to adopting the new eight-speed automatic transmission, GM Brazil revealed that the updated 2025 Chevy S10 will debut a new generation of the 2.8L Duramax I-4 turbo-diesel engine with better performance that will further reinforce the mechanical solidity of the Brazilian truck.
“Consumers can look forward to innovative technology that combines performance, energy efficiency, emissions, and drivability at a level never seen before in the country,” Santos concluded.
Brazil-market reservations for the just-debuted 2025 Chevy S10 will begin on Friday, April 5th across the extensive network of official Chevrolet dealers in the South American country. The updated pickup will debut publicly this week during the 2024 Londrina Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition (ExpoLondrina). It will also be presented at other fairs in the Brazilian agricultural sector throughout the month.

I just don’t understand the leadership decision making going in at GM. First, they say they are going to be “all electric” (really dumb decision made in a totally insulated corporate environment)…then that changes to “we will build electric vehicles along with vehicles our customers want”…then they eliminate the second most popular EV in the US market…and then they continue to ignore the “compact” pick up truck market in the US. It is staggering and disappointing the lack of real market understanding that exists inside GM. They build the best stuff. They simply struggle to build the right stuff.
This is a mid-size. they sell a compact in south America – the Chevy Montana. I think the S10 name here is confusing, back in the day here in the US the S10 was a compact.
Yes Gm needs a compact truck like yesterday.
Correct. Same size, exact same cabin as the prior US Colorado, same frame. Only thing I wish is the new 2.8 would come here for the US Colorado, and that an 6’5” bed would be offered.
Also, any specs on the 2.8 output?
They allot themselves stagnant shares and cash out. They particularly do not pay attention to the competation, nor are they serious about growing GM’s profitability in markets where they have to work hard to win sales.
They refuse to take advantage of new Chinese laws allowing them to own 100% of their brands in that Market, a concession the US government won after hard negotiations.
Doing difficult things is not their thing.
BABY DURAMAX FTW
I loved the S10, need it in the US
What an ugly truck they’ve made
The front of the this looks better then the new Colorado to me. And I wish we could have the 2.8. In a couple years I’ll be looking for a new to me used truck to replace my 2016 Colorado.
I believe the Colorado is a better looking truck but, the 4 banger is a huge turnoff, I prefer the 3.6 where the RPMs are low, the 4 banger has to rev higher which uses more gas. Put the 3.6 in the newer Colorado and I believe it will fly off the lots.
It’s diesel not gasoline.
