Turbo Chevy C10 Makes 750 HP, Slays Cones On The Autocross: Video

When passion meets engineering, good things happen. This turbocharged Chevy C10 pickup is a great example of that, transforming from workhorse pickup to high-performance street machine with 750 horsepower and a taste for slaying cones on the autocross. Now, we’re getting a closer look thanks to the following feature video.

Turbocharged Chevy C10 with a long list of modifications and performance upgrades.

The backstory of this Chevy C10 starts with Freddy, the builder, who collaborated with TCI, a well-known suspension and chassis company. Originally, the C10 was in a rough state, left to endure the elements. Freddy envisioned a revival for the truck, seeing it not just as a pro touring project, but eventually getting the racing bug after a stint at the local autocross.

To bring the vision to life, the truck was equipped with a 6.0L Chevy engine, which was optimized with a lower stroke, a Stage Three cam from Texas Speed to handle the boost, and a 7,000-rpm redline. Making the pressure is a 76mm Precision turbocharger. Engine output is estimated at 750 horsepower, fueled by 109 unleaded race gas.

Naturally, Freddy and his team didn’t stop with just engine modifications. The Chevy C10 features a full TCI-equipped chassis, custom-built to accommodate the truck’s specific requirements. There’s also a torque arm rear suspension and a 3.73 Currie rear end fed by a 4L80 transmission with a 2800 stall converter.

The exterior and interior of the truck have also seen significant enhancements. The striking 1950s Ecuador Blue paint job grabs attention immediately, while the interior boasts custom upholstery by Stitch Concepts and other bespoke elements crafted in-house. Notably, manual brakes replaced a previous hydroboost setup to better suit Freddy’s driving style.

These days, autocrossing has become the true test for this Chevy C10 build, with Freddy proving its capabilities (as well as his own) over 95 racing laps, all without any significant wear. All show, no go simply wasn’t in the cards with this C10.
