Refreshed 2025 Chevy Tahoe Officially Debuts In China

As GM Authority reported last week, the refreshed 2025 Chevy Tahoe just made its official debut in China.

The automaker’s premium import and lifestyle platform in China, The Durant Guild, officially unveiled the refreshed 2025 Chevy Tahoe on April 25th during the opening of the 2024 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China), where GM’s business arm is present for the first time. The subsidiary revealed the 2025 Tahoe for the Chinese market, locally introducing the fifth generation of the iconic American SUV.

“The Tahoe is a super SUV that boasts an iconic design, spacious interior and all-scenario performance,” said Leon Li, President of The Durant Guild and vice president of GM Premium Import. “Over the past 30 years, Tahoe’s consistent reliability has withstood the test of time and gained recognition from millions of users. We look forward to Chinese consumers experiencing the charm of this best-selling full-size SUV in the U.S. through The Durant Guild,” he added.

In particular, The Durant Guild is introducing two versions of the 2025 Chevy Tahoe in China: a base trim with a sporty finish similar to that of North America’s RST and the range-topping High Country. Both come standard with an extensive list of technology and advanced safety features, including Chevy’s new Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster and Super Cruise, with the High Country differentiated by its premium finish and higher level of overall refinement.

Mechanically, the company confirmed that the 2025 Chevy Tahoe units for China are powered by the 2.7L I4 L3B engine, now called TurboMax, as we exclusively revealed last week. In the 2025 Tahoe configured for the Chinese market, the engine develops 223 kW or 300 horsepower and 500 Nm or 369 pound-feet of torque, coupled exclusively to GM’s 10-speed automatic transmission.

The refreshed 2025 Chevy Tahoe debuted in China and reservations are now available on the official website of The Durant Guild, which will open several stores this year starting in the country’s main cities. It is worth noting that the first units of the 2025 Chevy Tahoe for the Asian country will be delivered to customers during the summer and will only be manufactured to order at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

The starting price of the base 2025 Chevy Tahoe in China is 650,000 yuan, about $89,780 USD at current exchange rates.
