Minnesota Wild goalie Marc-André Fleury, affectionately known as “Flower,” is no stranger to the art of the prank. With a reputation as one of the NHL’s most notorious jokesters, Fleury has a long history of orchestrating elaborate practical jokes on teammates. However, the tables were turned when former teammate Brandon Duhaime decided to escalate their friendly feud. The target of Duhaime’s prank – Fleury’s GMC Hummer EV.
Video posted to social media shows Fleury’s GMC Hummer EV absolutely buried in toilet paper. The all-electric pickup is wrapped up like it’s been mummified, the panels underneath barely visible under a heaping of bathroom tissue.

Of course, the undercover TP hit wasn’t some spontaneous decision; it was a calculated move in a prank war that had been ongoing for months, per a report from The Athletic. Back in December, Duhaime joked that Fleury was pretty talented for being “50 years old,” prompting Fleury to steal Duhaime’s clothes and forcing him to walk around in fuzzy boots without a shirt. Duhaime later left a pink cane on Fleury’s net around Christmas time, only to have Fleury later tie Duhaime’s skates together with bunny ears.
Naturally, the TP incident involving Fleury’s GMC Hummer EV wouldn’t go unanswered. Earlier this week, Duhaime walked out to the players’ parking lot to find his Jeep covered in dirt with flowers spread across the hood. The Jeep was also sitting on cinder blocks, while the wheels were chained to a nearby fence.

Positioned on top of the dirt was a For Sale sign, which included a personal note to Duhaime telling him he’d get the keys to the lock for the tires if he issued an apology video.
Smartly, Duhaime, who now plays for the Colorado Avalanche, decided to call a truce after the latest prank. Even though both NHL players laughed about it and kept the pranks lighthearted, we think messing around with someone else’s vehicle is, well, a bad idea.
