About GMC Savana
The 2024 GMC Savana arrives with two new transmissions being the only changes for the Passenger Van, Cargo Van, and Cutaway configurations. While, initially, the 2024 GMC Savana cargo van dropped the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, it is now available again, joining the atmospheric 4.3L V6 LV1 gasoline engine as the only two powerplants offered on the 2024 Savana. Check out the 2024 GMC Savana towing capacities.
Additionally, 2024 GMC Savana infotainment system upgrades are no longer available, leaving the 2024 Savana with only a single infotainment option, namely the base audio system consisting of the AM/FM stereo with an MP3 player. That system includes an auxiliary jack and two front-door speakers.
Check out all the 2024 Savana paint colors and interior colorways.
Pricing for the 2024 GMC Savana shows significant increases, ranging from $1,600 to $2,900 (including cargo, passenger, and cutaway models). The destination freight charge also increases by $100 to $1,875.
While the Chevy Express and GMC Savana were thought to be discontinued after the 2025 model year, GM had plans to redesign the Chevy Express for the 2027 model year, keeping the ICE powertrain. However, a recent report by Autoweek indicates that The General may have canceled plans for any next-generation vans.
To date, GM has sold more than 3 million Chevy Express and GMC Savana units.
Production is back on track for the 2024 GMC Savana and Chevy Express after GM issued a stop-build order for certain configurations this past December.
The online configurator is live for the 2024 Savana and still live for the 2023 Savana.
Production of the 2025 GMC Savana is currently scheduled for October 7th.

Right on time!
Ill be sure to hit my dealer tomorrow for the discount.
Basically the same as 1997 – and that’s not a bad thing!
In my opinion, manufacturers should focus more on incremental improvements rather trying to push out the next greatest thing every 2 years, which negatively impacts reliability and availability of parts. With ‘old’ designs, the supply chains are already established, the technicians know how the work on them, and bugs have been worked out.
Almost 30 years for a model run might be an extreme example (and GM only did it because people don’t really care about cargo vans), but this should be done more often.
Can’t discount what you don’t build. Have any 2024’s actually been delivered?
I hate the present Chevy Van design. I owned a 70s G10 and loved it. The Sprinter looks much nicer both inside and out. GM has some of the best looking cars on the planet. The Vettes, Camaro, Cadillacs and Chevy trucks look great. They need to do something about the vans or just stop selling them.
Please get WID of Barca and this thing will take off again. Super solid vans that you still see a LOT on the WOAD still.
