General Motors is offering current Chevy Bolt EV and Chevy Bolt EUV owners up to $3,000 off the price of a new 2024 Chevy Equinox EV through a new private offer. The new offer is available to GM customers leasing or financing the new Equinox EV through GM Financial, while customers who buy the all-electric Equinox get a slightly lower discount of $2,500. Production of the first-generation Chevy Bolt EV and Bolt EUV came to an end late last year.
According to a recent report from CarsDirect, the new loyalty program was announced in a bulletin sent to dealers. Eligible customers include owners and lessees of a 2017-or-newer Chevy Bolt EV or Bolt EUV. The incentive is available through April 30th.
Applied to the Chevy Equinox EV 2LT (the cheapest model currently available), the full $3,000 discount would bring pricing down from $43,295 to $40,295, while pricing for the 3LT starts at $45,295, dropping to $42,295 with the discount. The least-expensive trim level will be the Equinox EV 1LT, which starts at $34,995, dropping to $31,995 with the discount, although the 1LT will not be available until a later date.
As noted by CarsDirect, this loyalty discount is not available for the more-expensive Chevy Blazer EV, which starts at $48,800 for the LT trim level. The Blazer EV has faced a variety of problems since launch, including a stop-sale order, however the all-electric Blazer is now once again available for the $7,500 EV tax credit.
As a reminder, the Chevy Equinox EV rides on the GM BEV3 platform and features GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors. Production takes place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico. Check out our previous coverage for more Equinox EV pricing information.
Meanwhile, production of the first-generation Chevy Bolt EV and Bolt EUV concluded in December of 2023. GM has confirmed that it is currently developing a new generation for Bolt EV.

“The least-expensive trim level will be the Equinox EV 1LT, which starts at $34,995, dropping to $31,995 with the discount, although the 1LT will not be available until a later date.”
If it qualifies for the 7,500 tax credit, then that means Bolt customers could pick up the Equinox EV for as little as $24,495. Granted it’s only FWD and 250 miles, but that’s a great price in today’s market.
Actually, most of the communication suggests that they dropped the smaller battery, so even the 1LT will be getting 319 miles.
Even better!
They can’t give these things away.
Do you make that comment on all the GMA articles announcing rebates and discounts on ICE vehicles?
Bolt owners went through a lot due to the battery recall and it’s good of GM to offer them a discount.
I mean … they haven’t shipped to dealers yet, so of course not.
There will never be a 1LT.
It’s VaporWare…
As inviting this offer is for sure, I’m a union man and I’m sticking with the UAW vehicles list where Bolt is. Hopefully, Bolt 2025 will be built in USA by union labor just like Bolt 2023.
i just love when GM offers rebates and discounts on vehicles that are literally not available at all!! Equinox EV has not been released for retail sale to dealers yet. Exactly zero shipped to dealers. This is ridiculous.
Good. This is a move in the right direction. GM must know clearly the Chinese are just a stone throw over the border away and these cars better be affordable.
So, how does someone take advantage of this when you cannot order the Equinox EV yet, and probably cannot before the end of April? If we pre-order, can we back out if the vehicle shows up and doesn’t impress?
I would be surprised if I liked the Equinox EV more than my 23 Bolt EV. I would consider switching if it were available, but everything EV keeps getting pushed back for production. The average consumer is confused at this point, availability is up in the air. I understand it’s difficult to ramp up production if demand isn’t there, but consumers will become less inclined to switch to EV’s if you can’t find one to at least test drive. The government mandates and regulations complicate running a business. Domestics have to balance the production between ICE and EV models while trying to make a profit. The startup EV companies are going broke after using government subsidies to startup, Rivian is an expensive low volume EV that is burning thru cash at an unsustainable rate. Canoo is a commercial EV company bleeding cash, it’s almost impossible for the smaller competitors to survive in this segment., even Apple bailed on an EV. This could devastate the auto industry, consumers get so much conflicting information it’s difficult to know what is in their best interest financially. Forcing a large industry to transition this big takes a long time, two or three decades. How many will survive???
Have a Bolt now and trying to lease or buy a new Equinox Ev, but dealerships are a little clueless at the moment, as I have been to two of them, without getting any real price info, just 3RS package is coming in which is the over 45K vehicle. $3K off doesn’t do much.
The launch is the 2RS, not 3RS.
GM should stop playing games and announce the exact date/pricing of the Equinox EV market introduction. Otherwise they will lose the market to KIA and other more serious EV producers!
As technically termed: “$hit or get off the pot!”
GM at their finest, offering bonus cash to Bolt owners that expires at month end. Currently all Equinox’ EV’s are stockpiled in Texas, with no release dates set. Great News…smdh
Just like the 24 Traverse build excitement then delay start-up and once built have them sit for months before releasing them. Whoever is in charge of logistics for GM must related to Miss Bara. Nothing else could explain how they still have a job. It’s become a joke, meanwhile Kia and Hyundai are scooping up market share and redesigning their models like every 2 years.
