The GM Authority Take

The positive streak of GM Mexico sales expanded again with the new healthy double-digit growth recorded in March. The automaker’s solid commercial performance allowed it to add more than 2,000 units year after year and continue strengthening its competitiveness. Last month’s notable increase represents GM’s 14th consecutive monthly increase in the Mexican market.

Chevy Silverado WT

Although the all-new 2024 Chevy Aveo once again posted an increase and remained the company’s best-selling model in Mexico, GM’s growth in the Latin country during March was led by a drastic triple-digit increase for the Chevy Silverado, which translated into an outstanding volume increase of almost 1,500 units for the month. This significant increase in Chevrolet’s full-size truck positions it as the best-selling model in the segment both in the month and in the total accumulated during the year’s first quarter.

Chevy S10 Max

In addition to the substantial increase in the Silverado, it also highlights the healthy growth of other members of the company’s pickup line, such as the solid rise of the GMC Sierra and the good performance of the Chevy S10 Max. The S10 Max substantially increased year-over-year and became the second best-selling midsize pickup in the Mexican market – behind the Nissan Frontier NP300. The latest launches, such as the Chevy Trax and Chevy Montana, once again added good incremental volume in the month.
