General Motors has announced that it has launched GM Envolve – a program designed for management of ICE-powered and all-electric vehicle commercial fleet operations – in Canada.
The idea behind GM Envolve is to provide simple and rationale services to large fleet customers, allowing for a one-stop experience for maximum ease and efficiency.
In order to achieve this objective, GM Envolve assigns a dedicated “account executive” to each large fleet customer. Through this system, the executive is able to offer coordination and recommendations with the help of a team of GM experts, as opposed to necessitating a separate contact for each individual service.
With this consolidation of the sales and management of GM commercial services, the difficulty that fleet customers have in choosing which products would help their business the most has been reduced.
The “sales touchpoint” provided by the GM Envolve account executive gives businesses with large fleets efficient, uncluttered access to several different services and GM business units, which includes entities like BrightDrop and GM Genuine Parts.

Other services fleet customers can access through GM Envolve include, but are not limited to:
- OnStar Business Solutions, providing tracking and data analysis for fleet operations
- Energy management for EV fleets, along with access to GM HydroTec fuel cell technology
- Assistance with shifting from ICE fleet operations to an EV fleet
- Consultancy services to tie together everything from telematics, route planning, and EV charging to the financial and technical underpinnings of keeping a fleet running, while aiming for maximum profitability and efficiency
It’s worth noting that GM Envolve debuted in the United States back in May 2023, as GM Authority reported.

GM Envolve. I don’t know who came up with this, but GM Engage or GM Connect or GM Evolve would have all been better. For that matter, even GM Involve would be better.
GM Envolve, while I get that marketing people or teams make up non-existent words all the time, my first thought for Envolve is that someone doesn’t know how to spell the words Involve or Evolve.
