A Chevy truck driver was pulled out of their side window after leading police on a high-speed chase through Arkansas. Footage of the chase and subsequent arrest was posted to social media, giving us a look at suspect’s attempt to flee from law enforcement in an old-school Chevy C/K, also known as the Chevy OBS.
The video is relatively brief, clocking in at a little over four-and-a-half minutes. All of the footage appears to be captured by the dash cams on pursuing police vehicles. The dash cam overlay indicates that the incident occurred on March 27th, 2024, around 11:20 p.m. local time.
As the video gets under way, we see a trooper strategically positioned on the shoulder of the highway before the Chevy truck speeds past, pursued by another law enforcement vehicle. The chase quickly moves off the highway, with the truck driver attempting to navigate through traffic and even hopping the curb at a red light to evade capture. A Nissan Frontier is seen making way for police, which then ram the Chevy truck. The drive, however, continues to attempt an escape.
The climax of the chase arrives when the Chevy truck makes a right turn, only to be outmaneuvered with a PIT performed by the pursuing officer. The truck spins and the chase ends. With the vehicle immobilized, officers quickly surround the truck. Police order the driver to raise their hands. The driver eventually places their hands out the window, leading to one of the officers smashing the window. Several other officers join in forcibly extracting the driver out the window, throwing the driver to the ground before placing them under arrest.
It’s a quick end, and could have resulted in far more damage. The Chevy truck appears dented, but all in all, should be back on the road with a few repairs.
