Bringing a breath of fresh air to the nameplate, the 2024 Chevy Trax launched the all-new second generation of the Bow Tie brand’s entry-level crossover, with overhauled interior and exterior, new tech, better driving characteristics, and a comfortable ride. Since its release, the new Trax has pickup up awards and recognitions by several sources and has been quite popular among consumers.
Now, Chevrolet has released a pair of videos celebrating two of the accolades received by the 2024 Chevy Trax, while taking the opportunity to spotlight several key features of the subcompact crossover.
Both videos show the same imagery, with a family driving their 2024 Chevy Trax to a picnic spot. At just 15 seconds each, the clips don’t provide much time for an in-depth look at the vehicle, choosing instead to point out a few significant features. These include the available 11-inch infotainment touchscreen and the affordable starting MSRP of $21,495.
Each video starts out by showing the name of a different award the Trax has received. One highlights being on the Car and Driver list of the 10Best Trucks and SUVs. The other reminds viewers that the model was named as the Cars.com Best Car of 2024.
Car and Driver picked the 2024 Chevy Trax for its 10Best list for several reasons, as GM Authority previously reported. Among the standout features of the low-cost crossover are above average steering and brake feel, decent acceleration, a pleasantly quiet cabin, and larger dimensions providing a 37-percent boost to cargo space.
These points matched our own review of the second-gen Trax, which described the vehicle as “legitimately good.” GM Authority has also published a walkaround video showing details of the 2024 Trax RS trim level and a second video showing the Activ trim’s interior.

As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Trax is motivated by a single powerplant choice. This is the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine developing 137 horsepower and 162 pound feet of torque. It is paired with the GM six-speed automatic transmission and is built exclusively in a front-wheel drive configuration. The GM VSS-F vehicle set provides the structure.
