About Chevrolet Silverado 1500
For 2024, changes and updates include the Chevy Silverado 2.7L engine being named “TurboMax.” That engine now gets the Hydra-Matic 8L80 M5U revised eight-speed automatic transmission.
Also, the 2024 Silverado ZR2 offers the LZ0 Duramax diesel engine to provide more low-end torque while off-roading, joining the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine for available powerplants. That 6.2-liter will sound meaner thanks to a new Active Exhaust system. The 2024 Silverado ZR2 is also available with new beadlock-capable wheels and new black and red beadlock wheel decorative rings.
Meanwhile, the 2024 Silverado High Country will be available with the Midnight Edition Package. All 2024 Silverado 1500 offer a new drop-in bedliner and a new bed Utility Wall Package.
Here’s everything new and different with the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500.
Pricing details for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 show that, compared to the previous model year, WT trims are now $500 more expensive, High Country trims are now $600 more expensive, and ZR2 and ZR2 Bison prices are down $1,600. The price drop for ZR2 and ZR2 Bison models is because the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine is now fitted as standard, whereas the more expensive naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine used to be the exclusive powertrain offered, which is now optional.
In August, the 2024 Silverado 1500 received a destination freight charge increase of $100 to bump the total to $1,995.
The Chevy Silverado 1500 now offers a ZR2 Spec Multimatic DSSV Shock System accessory for the 2019 model year or later Silverado 1500, with a design and tuning intended to provide the truck with improved off-road performance.
Currently, the fastest-turning Chevy Silverado trim levels include the Custom Trail Boss, LT Trail Boss, and ZR2. The ZR2 Bison Edition is in the mix as a fast-turning model, as it’s a package on the all-terrain-focused Silverado ZR2.
The online configurator tool is live for the 2024 Silverado and still live for the 2023 Silverado.
Production of the 2025 Chevy Silverado will begin on August 19th for both the Regular Cab and Crew Cab configurations and August 26th for the Double Cab.

One dealer near me is advertising $23,000 off all remaining ’23 Silverados. Now we’re getting somewhere! At least GM is willing to. Unlike most of the others that want close to sticker on leftover “23 models.
@Beachy29579
Where at?
30k should be the normal cut in msrp!
mary msrp barra however just wants to hike
Finally, it begins. Wait if you can, those discounts should get better.
LTZ crew cab 4×4 should be $50k
NO TRUCK should be over $60K. Most of these trucks LT models, should be around $45k! It’s a depreciating asset, that one will never EVER get their money back out of it! I paid $58K for my first house when I was 27 years old with 2 acres of land! I got all that and more out of it when I sold it when I got a new and better job.
It’s absolutely mind boggles me that “foolish” people think they NEED to have a new vehicle, and pay outlandish prices for these trucks.
Heck, it’s the same with cellphones. NO one in their right mind 10 years ago would have thought people would be making monthly payments on them?? But, everyone has to have the newest and latest tech!!! STUPIDITY!!!
Things should be much better in a few months….slowly improving!
Who wants to spend 45k on Work Truck with Electronic Tailgate which will be broke & cost 200 or maybe 300 to get fix along with the hassle of that.
