Chevy Colorado ZR2 Roaming City Streets On Three Wheels: Video

GM off-roaders like the Chevy Colorado ZR2 are often touted as offering impressive go-anywhere capability, with a long list of off-road-oriented upgrades to help navigate tricky terrain. However, that go-anywhere attitude starts to fall into question when wheels start falling off. Nevertheless, one Chevy Colorado ZR2 driver didn’t let that stop them from driving this three-wheeled pickup down city streets, as seen in the following video.

Recently making its way onto social media, the video is just a few seconds long, showing a Chevy Colorado ZR2 driver three-wheeling their pickup through a busy intersection in what appears to be the city of Toronto, in Ontario, Canada.

The video opens at a four-way traffic light, where we see some traffic going about their business. The video looks as though it was captured by a pedestrian standing at the street corner, who happened to have their phone out as the three-wheeled Chevy Colorado ZR2 drove by.

Across the intersection, we see the off-roader ZR2 in the turning lane. This particular example appears to hail from the second-generation line of pickups. The truck is finished in blue and black, and would normally look quite good – however, the truck lists to one side, and we quickly learn why as the driver makes the turn.

As the Chevy Colorado ZR2 drives past, we see the passenger’s side wheel is missing, the mangled wheel well liner hanging on for dear life while some piece of the truck (possibly the brake rotor) scrapes against the pavement in a shower of sparks.

Exactly what happened here is unknown. Perhaps the driver is undergoing some medical emergency, or maybe the truck was stolen and crashed. Either way, it’s incredible this Chevy Colorado ZR2 is driving at all, let along making a corner. All told, this is definitely not the recommended operating procedure for this vehicle:
