Chevy Blazer EV Wins 2024 Wards 10 Best Interiors And UX Award

Despite still being in its first model year, the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is already winning automotive awards – with one of the most recent being a spot on the 2024 Wards 10 Best Interiors and UX list as a top model for its cabin design and user experience.

WardsAuto, an auto sector news and intelligence company that got its start “counting Model Ts rolling off the first assembly lines,” said multiple factors gave the Chevy Blazer EV a spot on the Best Interiors and UX list.

The winning attributes of the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV cockpit include its trim, which embodies the “creativity” of its designers according to one of the 2024 Wards 10 Best judges, Christie Schweinsberg. The judge praised the bold use of “ever more unique trim, either with films or – in the case of the winning Chevy Blazer EV – perforated hard plastic,” as one of the things setting apart the winners.

The use of much larger infotainment and driver display screens also drew accolades from Schweinsberg, who said that besides “raising their aesthetics game, automakers also are going big on interior technology, literally.” She remarked that the screens are rivaling “the quality of those in our living rooms” and have much-improved interfaces and graphics.

The Chevy Blazer EV was mentioned again as standing out because of the comfort and aesthetics of its seating. WardsAuto highlighted the eye-catching brilliance of the Blazer EV’s Black / Adrenaline Red interior (RPO code EMJ) in this regard, one of two interior colorways offered on the crossover.

Other attributes the awards singled out in winners included spacious interiors, ample cargo space, large numbers of convenient USB ports, wireless smartphone pairing, and high-quality voice assistants. One other GM vehicle, the Buick Envista in its Avenir trim, made the list. Two Hyundais, a Kia, a Mercedes-Benz, a Lincoln, and a handful of other vehicles won a spot, too.

The Chevy Blazer EV also stood out for being one of only two electric vehicles on the list, with few EV models launched or refreshed for 2024.

As a reminder, GM recently resumed sales of the Blazer EV with lower prices following the lifting of a stop-sale order related to fixing of a software problem. The lowest starting MSRP for currently available variants is $50,195 for the 2LT trim with AWD, which includes a $1,395 destination freight charge.

The crossover is underpinned by the GM BEV3 platform and is motivated by GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors. Production of all variants of the Blazer EV takes place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

  2. Interesting to see how the Interior designers are returning to the Round air vents on the dash like days of yesteryear.

  3. @billj598…like they say what was once old is new again now I like the red and black linterior I wish they could color match the interior and exterior like they used to back in the 70s or even just off more interior colors. Still though this looks a nice interior.
