General Motors officially unveiled the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq late last year, pulling the sheets on the luxury marque’s all-new, all-electric three-row crossover. Slotting between the Cadillac Lyriq and Cadillac Escalade IQ, the new Vistiq shares quite a few design traits with the all-electric Escalade. However, there are several important points of departure as well, all of which we’ll discuss in the following GM Authority design comparison.
Front End
Placing the two all-electric utility models side by side, we find a similar grille treatment, complete with light-up detailing. Silver Cadillac badging is placed front and center, while hard angles are applied to the lighting around the corners of the fascia, with thin upper lighting and prominent vertical lighting. However, while the Vistiq divides these two lighting elements, the Escalade IQ integrates them into one connected design.
There’s also a similar shape for the lower wings in the bumper, although the wings on the Vistiq are narrower. We also see a black lower bumper section with thin air intakes, with the intakes on the Escalade IQ taking a more prominent shape.
Side View
Moving into the side view, we see a prominent upper window treatment along the upper side of the windows on the Cadillac Vistiq, finished in silver, plus large roof rails. The Vistiq also has flush door handles, while the Escalade IQ does not. Both, however, present a bold, upright stance, as well as a curved, carved design along the wheel wells and fenders.
Also notable is the badging, with the Vistiq showing silver fender badging, as compared to black fender badging on the Escalade IQ. The C-pillar is longer and leaner on the Escalade IQ, while later variants of the Vistiq have been spotted with a series of horizontal lines on the C-pillar. The Escalade IQ also offers a black finish for the roof, an option we have also seen on prototype variants of the Vistiq. Both offer technical looking wheels with a silver-and-black finish.
Rear End
Finally, the rear once again shows several similarities, but with notable differences.
Both all-electric utility models include hard, 90-degree angles for the lighting, with vertical lighting elements running down the periphery. However, the Vistiq integrates these into the hatch, whereas the Escalade IQ integrates the lights into the rear quarter panels. Both models also have prominent lower lighting elements on either side of the lower hatch with a series of vertical lines for the inner graphics.
The lower bumper design is similar as well, although the Vistiq incorporates silver trim, as compared to the all-black trim on the Escalade.

in order, i prefer the escalade then the vistiq then the lyric but only the last one is more raisonable as price,
Depends on how much they charge for the Vistiq. Then I’ll tell you how much I like it.
Love them all! Can’t afford any of them. My house would need to be rewired for the charging station too. I am cautious regarding any electric vehicles. One guy on the internet wanted to trade in his electric car, and the dealer who sold it to him wouldn’t take it in trade at any price. The most anyone would give him for the two year old beast was $20,000 less than he owed on it! Most electric vehicles need battery replacement in about 10 years, and at that point are not worth more than the new battery. They are basically very expensive throw away cars. I love the concept. It just has to be practical. Also too many battery fires burning down people’s houses.
“One guy on the internet”
That’s how you make your informed decisions?
Considering that the rest of his post read like a scripted anti-EV FUD post, then I am surprised that he webt as large a sample size as one.
The way Tesla has been cutting prices it turn out the dealer that set the Residual value is going to get burned on the Tesla’s that were sold a years ago. Once Elon started price cutting I’m sure the RV’s have really been lowered.
Yes, at least so far. The dealer I bought my Chevy Impala from also sells Cadillacs, so I will have a look. I can’t afford a Corvette either, but always have a big look a stuff like this. It is always a good idea to wait a year or two before buying anything new, to make sure any engineering or manufacturing problems are resolved before it’s in your garage.
I like the simple design behind the Vistiq. I think it’ll sell better than the Escalade but that’s just me. I also like the baby suv too ( forgot the name )
They both look like overly detailed station wagons. Just like most current GM designs. The designers must spend 90% of their time on the front ends and just use the standard GM template for the rest.
That said…they should be hybrids.
If these were offered with a hybrid option the probably could triple projected sales.
I prefer the ICE Sedans over these two.
I just hope that the Vistiq is not sized like an XT6, and that it’s more like the 2024 Acadia, which was upsized from the outgoing model. That size, with more comfortable third row seating and more cargo space, would be competitive with the likes of a Volvo XC90.
lol vovlvo xc90 ? The xt6 is bigger than the xc90… especially in the 3rd row… realize the xc90 is just the xc60 with a cramped 3rd row
