The Cadillac Lyriq made its formal introduction for the 2023 model year, debuting the luxury marque’s very-first all-electric production model. In addition to Cadillac-style luxury and a battery-powered propulsion system, the Lyriq’s crossover body style also promises a certain degree of practicality. Now, GM is offering Lyriq customers a chance to expand that practicality via a new roof rack accessory.
The new roof rack incorporates a bright anodized aluminum construction and is priced at $531.25, per Caddy’s official accessories website. The rack is designed to meet the specific fit, appearance, and compatibility standards of the Cadillac Lyriq, ensuring seamless integration with the vehicle’s sleek lines and modern aesthetic.
As an all-electric luxury crossover, the Lyriq seeks to offer a combination of comfort, performance, and zero local emissions. The addition of a roof rack enhances its versatility, making it ideal for active individuals and families who require additional cargo capacity for their adventures, whether it’s for carrying bikes, kayaks, or extra luggage. When not in use, the new Cadillac Lyriq roof rack can be easily removed and stored away, minimizing the impact on the vehicle’s aerodynamics and range. The rack also serves as the base for many roof-mounted cargo management accessories, expanding the utility of the Lyriq even further.
As highlighted in previous GM Authority coverage, the launch of the new Lyriq roof rack accessory has been anticipated for quite some time. In July of the 2022 calendar year, Cadillac Lyriq Product Manager Steve Mertes told GM Authority that Cadillac would offer a clamp-style roof rack (or cross bars) that will secure to the roof of the Lyriq via C-shaped hardware. Now, that roof rack is finally available to customers.
As a reminder, the Lyriq rides on the GM BEV3 platform and features GM Ultium batteries paired with GM Ultium Drive motors. Production takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

That looks absolutely ridiculous. Need to carry something on the roof? Get something other than this.
What would be your solution? This is just a roof rack like any other vehicle has.
Took way too long for these to become available. But at least we have them.
This is not a roof rack like any other car or even most cars, suv, etc. The roof rack fits flush with the roof which prohibits cross tie of any cargo. To cross tie one would have to have open the windows .Look at the competition . Large , medium , and small vehicles that have a roof rack . GM is aware of this but will not address the problem. Disagree, go buy the cross rails for around $300 , mount the cross rails and tie of one piece of lumber 2”x12” x10’ If a customer wants a roof rack they should be able to use it for what is was intended for. Dk
Rarely do I see someone actually put anything on the roof.
Where can we buy this? Looked at Cadillac app and it says it is not compatible with my 24 Lyriq
