The 2024 Buick Envista is said to be a crossover coupe for the masses with its affordability, quality, and subcompact size, and now it also has the distinction of being one of ten winners of the 2024 Wards 10 Best Interiors and UX list.
Spotlighting the models with the best interiors and user experience in the cockpit, the list is published by WardsAuto, self-described as a “global leader in automotive intelligence on matters spanning the globe,” and this year includes two GM models, the Buick Envista and the Chevy Blazer EV.
The award goes specifically to the range-topping Avenir trim of the 2024 Buick Envista, with WardsAuto praising the crossover coupe as “notable for having high style at price points below $35,000.” It shares this distinction with the Hyundai Kona, which has a starting MSRP of $25,625 including a $1,375 destination freight charge. Pricing for the Envista starts at $29,695 for the Avenir trim, including a $1,095 DFC.
The award is based on several factors, including the interior’s design. The 10 Best judge Christie Schweinsberg says that “designers are unleashing their creativity in cabins with ever more unique trim,” while also “going big on interior technology, literally, with larger display screens and advanced user interfaces boasting stunning graphics.” While not huge, the Envista dash includes a standard 11-inch diagonal touchscreen and eight-inch diagonal Driver Information Center.
Other features the award looks for are smartphone pairing and high-quality voice assistants offering good information. Additional factors under consideration include cargo space, a roomy cabin with comfortable seats and pleasant materials, and unique features that increase the user experience of being inside the vehicle.
As a reminder, motivation for the 2024 Buick Envista is provided by a single powerplant choice, namely the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine developing 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. This engine is mated to the GM six-speed automatic transmission.
Regarding structure, the Envista rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set, while production occurs at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea.

Wards, please. Who wants a $30K Envista? And the new Kona is simply dreadful.
I saw one yesterday. Yes the Kona is a step backwards.
I do. I have one and I am really pleased!
Oh really……hmm….please…..I’ll take 3! What an awesome, quite successful and well received vehicle. Great for Buick, great for GM. Better automobiles are being built and Buick is building them!
While the materials might be a bit better in the Envista, the Trax has a better overall design – at least to my eyes.
Love everything about the Envista Avenir Bid Difference FRom the Kona i had.
Good news. I think the Envista is Buick’s best looking model any more. But only in the Avenir trim.
Is it just me or are suv’s slowly morphing back to cars again ?
Now, if they would have just put a REAL engine in it. Does anyone actually believe that 1.2 liter 3 cylinder engine is going to go 150K miles without needing major repairs? There’s a reason that it cost less than $24K.
1.2’s have been out for a few years now (2020)… lots of data.
I’m still confused by how a whole generation of us put 150k miles on 1.6’s and 1.8’s but oh no!!!! An engine with .3 and .5 liters less displacement could never, yall crack me up lol
I love my Envista, I bought it in Sept 2023 and I am really pleased. It doesn’t feel that it is a 3 cylinder engine. I was looking for a fuel economy car to save some money in gas. ⛽️ it was the best decision and the price was perfect for my budget. No regrets!!
We have a Trax 1RS since last September. it now has 18,000k. So far the car has been 1 of the best I have experienced (and i have owned over 40 new cars)
The more i drive it the more i appreciate the car, The 1RS is perfect and the 1.2 has all the power you need , no trouble to pass other vehicles on a 2 lane. Its not a rocket but for its intended purpose the powertrain is up to the task.
And here is the other thing, this is a new vehicle launch from S Korea, GM could take lessons in NA how to get a vehicle to market smoothly from the Koreans!!.
From the start when we first saw spy photos , I said this would be a hit for GM and the biggest issue will be their ability to build enough and that seems to be the case.
These truly are first class vehicles in the economy segment.
I love my Envista. Smaller than my old LaCrosse but easier to drive park. I also love the extra features.
Very underpowered car no thanks.
