Spearheading the all-new third generation of the crossover, the 2024 GMC Acadia, features numerous changes and updates, with three exterior colors dropped from the vehicle’s palette and three new paints, Crystal Metallic, Deep Bronze Metallic, and Downpour Metallic, introduced as replacements. Here’s a closer look at the Deep Bronze color.
Identified by color code GXN and touch-up paint code WA-135H, Deep Bronze Metallic is included in the 2024 GMC Acadia lineup of eight exterior paint colors, which are listed below (paint codes in parenthesis):
- Ebony Twilight Metallic (GB8)
- Sterling Metallic (GXD)
- Summit White (GAZ)
- Volcanic Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- White Frost Tricoat (G1W)
- Crystal Metallic (GXK – new for 2024)
- Deep Bronze Metallic (GXN – new for 2024)
- Downpour Metallic (GXP – new for 2024)
Only the AT4 trim level can be ordered with Deep Bronze Metallic, which is not offered on the Elevation or Denali trims. Deep Bronze is an extra-charge color costing $495 and is combined with the AT4’s only interior colorway, Forest Storm with Mahogany Accents.
For reference, the quartet of interior colorways the 2024 Acadia features across all trim levels consists of the following:
- After Dark
- Forest Storm with Mahogany Accents
- Gideon Gray
- Sheer / Very Dark Atmosphere
The third-gen 2024 GMC Acadia is dimensionally larger than the outgoing generation, riding on an 8.4-inch longer wheelbase. It is also 10.6 inches longer and 3.2 inches taller, giving the new crossover 80 percent greater cargo space behind the third row. It also gets new exterior styling with an updated greenhouse along with an overhauled cabin and new technology.
The 2024 Acadia cradles a single engine choice under the hood, the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine developing 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. GM Authority was first to report this. The powerplant is paired with the GM eight-speed automatic transmission. Standard drivetrain configuration is FWD across all trim levels, with available AWD.
Under the body panels, the 2024 Acadia uses the GM C1 platform for structure. Production is carried out at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

Horrible.
I have it on my Silverado and like it. To each their own – something different than black, white, gray
So Bronze is the new Green.
Harvest Bronze Metallic in Chevy trim, some kind of green with other automakers . GM cheaping out on paint colors.
I personally think the potential buyers could care less about the bronze color options, tell us about the improved upgraded drive line suspension and safety features and what to expect for the expermental 4cyl engine warranty that the potential buyer can understand and Trust!
Not cheaping out if you are paying for it
Why does GM use these CGI color generators? They never look like they do in real life. This one looks like a filled diaper.
At first I thought they might be reusing Caffeine, but this looks worse.
US Army Green Metallic? It sure doesn’t go with the interior.
Overall, I like the color, but GM could have selected a much deeper richer color to offer. Deep Espresso Metalic that was offered on the 2015 Buick Encore is an example. In the sun it was bright and very “metallicy” for a brown color; a nice masculine color other than the usual grays and blacks. Rosewood Metallic is nice and more masculine than the usual red or ruby red. I read somewher on the GM Authority site a while back that the names simply changed from Deep Espresso metallic to Rosewood Metallic, but to me they are NOT the same. Deep Espresso metallic has more “root beer brown” as a base color with dimension and depth with larger metallic flakes. The Rosewood Metallic is more of an oxblood with less dimension to the color. Another color that would be good would be hunter green metallic. And how about a buckskin or tan interior to offer with some of these colors? I’m so sick of the black interiors in everything that’s not Denali Trim?
Even though I like the Deep Bronze Metallic, I don’t think it’s going to sell well due to the reasons that others have commented on the color. GM could have done better on this selection.
Pea soup green to my eyes. Still its refreshing to see any kind of green in these days of rental car black, white, silver and grey.
looks like sh *t
