Many changes and updates are introduced with the 2024 GMC Acadia, the first model year of the crossover’s new third generation, including the deletion of three exterior paint colors from the vehicle’s palette and their replacement with three new colors, specifically Crystal Metallic, Deep Bronze Metallic, and Downpour Metallic. Here’s a detailed look at the Crystal Metallic color.
Tagged with color code GXK and touch-up paint code WA-133H, Crystal Metallic is one of eight exterior paint colors offered on the 2024 GMC Acadia, which include the following (paint codes in parenthesis):
- Ebony Twilight Metallic (GB8)
- Sterling Metallic (GXD)
- Summit White (GAZ)
- Volcanic Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- White Frost Tricoat (G1W)
- Crystal Metallic (GXK – new for 2024)
- Deep Bronze Metallic (GXN – new for 2024)
- Downpour Metallic (GXP – new for 2024)
Crystal Metallic is available on the Elevation trim level only and cannot be ordered on the AT4 or Denali trims. It is priced at an additional $495 and can be combined with either of the interior colorways, including After Dark and Gideon Gray, offered on the 2024 GMC Acadia Elevation trim.
For reference, here are the four interior colorways that are offered on the various trim levels of the 2024 Acadia:
- After Dark
- Forest Storm with Mahogany Accents
- Gideon Gray
- Sheer / Very Dark Atmosphere
As a reminder, the 2024 GMC Acadia sports fresh exterior styling with a new greenhouse as well as bigger outside dimensions and a more spacious cabin. The crossover has a wheelbase 8.4 inches longer than that of the second-gen model, 10.6 inches greater length overall, and 3.2 inches more height. Inside, this creates 80 percent more cargo space behind the third row.
For motivation – as GM Authority was first to report – the 2024 Acadia is equipped as standard with the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine developing 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. Cog swaps are provided by the GM eight-speed automatic transmission, while front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional.
The 2024 Acadia continues to be underpinned by the GM C1 platform, with production currently taking place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

Pretty colour. Have to see it in person.
Hey, what’s with the interior “colorways” lingo? Nonsense.
My wife and I are driving our third Acadia. Waiting to see the new one in person to make a decision on it or the new redesigned Chevy Traverse. Cet aka Batman:)
