2024 GMC Acadia Configurator Live

General Motors unveiled the all-new 2024 GMC Acadia last year at the Detroit Auto Show, debuting the crossover’s latest third generation. Compared to the preceding second-gen Acadia, the 2024 GMC Acadia offers larger exterior dimensions, updated styling, new tech, and a new turbocharged engine. Now, fans and interested customers can spec the 2024 GMC Acadia using the official configurator tool at the GMC website.

Customers have three trim levels to choose from, including the entry-level Elevation, the luxurious Denali, and the off-road-oriented AT4. The Elevation starts at $43,995, AT4 starts at $51,395, and Denali starts at $55,695. Check out our previous coverage for more 2024 GMC Acadia pricing information.

Elevation and Denali trims are equipped as standard with front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive offered as optional. The GMC Acadia AT4 equips all-wheel drive as standard.

The various trim levels also include a few unique features – for example, the Denali is equipped with unique trim accents, a signature Denali grille, and optional 22-inch machined aluminum wheels. Meanwhile, the Acadia AT4 has a lifted ride height, wider track, 18-inch AT tires, and an exclusive Active Torque Control all-wheel drive system with twin-clutch rear differentials.

The third-gen GMC Acadia is longer, wider, and taller than the preceding second-gen, with an overall length that’s now 10.6 inches longer, a wheelbase that’s 8.4 inches longer, and an overall height that’s 3.2 inches taller. The cabin space also offers 80 percent more cargo room behind the third-row seat. Depending on the configuration, the cabin provides seating for seven to eight passengers.

Highlights in the cabin include a 15-inch diagonal infotainment screen mounted in a vertical, portrait layout on the center stack. There’s also a standard 11-inch diagonal driver information center, plus a list of standard safety items, including Rear Park Assist, Following Distance Indicator, and Forward Collision Alert. Customers can also opt for Super Cruise, offered as GM’s semi-autonomous, hands-free driver assist system.

All units of the 2024 GMC Acadia cradle the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, as GM Authority was the first to report. Output is rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, with the GM eight-speed automatic included as standard.

The GM C1 platform provides the underpinnings, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

  3. The standard equipment on the base Elevation trim is pretty impressive. The base price is about $5500 higher than the outgoing SLE, but it seems trimmed more like an SLT from that generation.

  4. When will they be at the dearer ship. This is ridiculous waiting so long

    1. True. I am tired of waiting. Probably early summer

  5. There are only a few ways to configure these. Less trim levels and less options. I guess this is what they are doing to increase manufacturing efficiency?

    1. A, 100% hit the nail on the head. I think GM has decided that there were just way too many configurations. You can see this on the new Chevy Traverse also. The options are highly dependent of the trim level; one or two packages can be added to some trims, but no more of the piecing options together. Honestly, I think it is in GM’s best interest to proliferate this model to other GM vehicles.

As a design engineer myself, it makes sense; lump RPOs together and the permutations that need to accounted for during engineering, manufacturing, procurement, etc go down significantly.

      1. I would like to know who at GM picks the paint colors each year. If you look around it’s looking more like the original ford. ” you can have any color as long as its black.” Almost all manufacturers are only offering White. Black, and shades of grey. Oh yes, they do throw in red. I am ready for a new vehicle. I really really like the new GMC Acadia. I also, like the only color blue offered, BUT LOW AND BEHOLD TO GET THE BLUE YOU HAVE TO BUY THE MOST EXPENSIVE DENALI. 😪

  6. Loved my 2014 Acadia SLT 3.6L. Towed my boat excellent, rode awesome, and was the perfect size. Glad GMC went back to a bigger sized Acadia. Will definitely drive one when it gets onto a lot. Still wished it had the reliable 3.6L though.

    1. We love the LGX V6 in our 2022 also, but I think the new turbo motor will help with low end torque on the highway. I just hate that the truck needs to downshift twice to get decent power. I can see the turbo motor having better drivability at highway cruising speeds.

      1. Is it just me, or does this seem awfully late for the configurator to be available? I know the new Acadia was just introduced, but seems GM is off on the schedule. Almost like this should be the 2025 Acadia. Used to be in the Fall of the current year you would get the next model year. By Fall 2024, consumers will just be getting the 2024 model year…

  7. I prefer the smaller 2017-2024 version as i have zero need for the larger size, like the fact its lighter and more efficient and quicker with the V6 and less costly. I also think the body looks more cohesive than this new one which looks odd from the side angle.

    1. If the size is an issue, you should be driving a Terrain. I was dumbfounded when I was told in 2020 the Acadia’s were shrink down because customer’s had complained they were “too big?” WTF!!!!!! GET A FREAKIN TERRAIN THEN!!!!! Now, I’ve been waiting and waiting and trying to time out my leases since 2020 for the new, bigger Acadias, and who knows if they’ll even be in the showrooms or on the dealer lots. Glad they’ve reconfigured them, but what happened to having a new model year ready on or before the beginning of that year GM?

  8. I like the older smaller model with the powerful V-6. Increasing the size of this vehicle and equipping it with just a 4 cylinder is suspect. GM will spin that it is strong engine and even better, but it has not stood any test of time with the Acadia, Traverse, or Enclave. I would buy another if there was an option to upgrade to a V-6. For now will just wait and see if the 4 cylinder holds up or ruins the sales of popular models.

    1. The Chevy Blazer should be on your consideration list. I’ll be ordering a ’25 MY RS AWD V6 to replace my 2020 as soon as the dealer order bank opens.

  11. Looks too long like the old extended Envoy.

We haven’t had two Acadia and now will have to find another option. It was right sized for us and we have no need for a third row.

  13. I just talked to a dealership near me. He said they would not be in their lot until Mid summer so he’s thinking late summer. I told him that they’re all on Court Street sitting on a empty lot now why would it be so late? He had not a clue.

  15. My wife has been waiting for a new Acadia since she missed the deadline to order a 2023 Acadia ! Actually she didn’t miss the deadline ! – the Acadia we placed the order for – the dealership said they lost their allocation that was supposed to guarantee our order to be placed ! So we just ordered an Acadia Denali without even knowing what the price was somewhere around the beginning of March and the dealership called to tell us that it is supposed to be in around the beginning of May ! We’re not real happy about the time frame ! I still think that there’s something screwy going on ! And also not happy about only being able to get a 2.5 – 4 cly . even with a HD towing package on it ! I hope it makes a believer outta me ! But somehow I have my doubts !!!!!!!!

  16. I just went online and built one and it came out to be $65K and change. Man that is $16K higher than my 2021 Premier Redline Edition.

That’s a lot of money and increase for a new body style and a new/unproven turbo engine!

  17. The thing that I noticed is I put into order and only the denali let you get it in blue the other lower ones it does not come in blue that may lead me to the traverse
