The 2024 Chevy Traverse ushers in the all-new and redesigned third generation of the Bow Tie crossover, including many overhauled or new features for both the exterior and interior. Among these, three paint colors have been retired from the vehicle’s palette, while three others – Harvest Bronze Metallic, Lakeshore Blue Metallic, and Stardust Metallic – indirectly replace them. Right now we’re zooming in on the Stardust color.
Designated by color code GXK and touch-up paint number WA-133H, Stardust Metallic is among the 2024Â Chevy Traverse crossover’s eight available paint colors, listed below:
- Iridescent Pearl Tricoat
- Mosaic Black Metallic
- Radiant Red Tintcoat
- Sterling Gray Metallic
- Summit White
- Harvest Bronze Metallic (new for 2024)
- Lakeshore Blue Metallic (new for 2024)
- Stardust Metallic (new for 2024)
The range-topping RS trim level is the only 2024 Traverse trim which can be ordered with Stardust Metallic, with the paint color unavailable on the LS, LT, and Z71 trims. Offered at no extra cost, it can be ordered in conjunction with the Jet Black with Torch Red accents, the only interior colorway of the RS trim.
As a reminder, the full range of 2024 Chevy Traverse interior colorways consists of the following:
- Jet Black
- Jet Black / Gideon
- Jet Black with Torch Red accents
The lowest-priced 2024 Traverse configuration is the front-wheel-drive LS trim, which carries a starting MSRP of $38,995 per GM Authority reporting. The RS trim, for which Stardust Metallic is exclusively available, has the lineup’s highest starting price when outfitted with AWD, coming in at $57,595. All prices include a $1,395 destination freight charge.
The turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, is the only engine choice cradled by the third generation 2024 Chevy Traverse. The GM eight-speed automatic transmission puts the power to the pavement. FWD is standard on the LS, LT, and RS trims, while AWD is optional on those three trims and equipped as standard on the adventure-ready Z71 trim level.
The long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform – in a revised and updated version that incorporates the Global B digital architecture – provides the bones for the 2024 Traverse. Production of the crossover is under way at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

Tired of seeing just pictures not the actual product. Waiting for 8 months and still waiting
This means nothing if the vehicles are being delivered to customers.
When will we finally see the 2024 Traverse Z71 hit dealer lots?
SUMTING TERRIBLY WONG!!!!!
The lack of public comment with a reasonable explanation sure would lead one to make their own assumption of what could be going on with this car
GM is selling all the old edition of Traverse out. GM knows thousands and thousands of GM loyals are waiting for new edition. Just a smart move on GM marketing. I think GM is still lobbing and squeezing’s the government for one more highway MPG rating.
With not one vehicle delivered at this point and a new vehicle rollout, I would at least expect the one that I ordered to be a 25 model year. I was given a build week of April 29. We’ll see what happens with that? Why even bother with a 24 model
They have been seen on dealer lots. I’ve heard NY
Attention Important Announcement:
New color release next week.
It’s hard to believe that they are on dealer lots as of now when no major magazines or reviewers have received any for a full road test. They are usually the first to get new models.
I see 10 on dealer lots in Michigan, I’m sure they are all spoken for. I’m using GM locator. I don’t know if they are released for sale, but I’m sure they must be spoken for.
Flint and Lansing Plants has all 24 Traverse in a lot locked down. Seen only one on the road in Holland Michigan
That’s great news…. Fingers crossed!! 🤞
Bunch of BS!!! They are not using the Stardust Metallic color… I put in my order for that color and was told to pick a different color because GM was nixing that color. I only buy GM vehicles since I was 18 years old. This will be my 6th new vehicle purchase…
I have walk past the storage lot in flint and have seen the stardust metallic on a few 2024 in the lot.
I thought I recall hearing somewhere that color would be RS only. But not positive about that
Yes, if you check the Chevrolet site that color is only on the RS model
A wonderful four-wheel drive car.. I love American cars.. since I started driving, I have only bought American cars… strong and comfortable… confident and prestige… I hope God will bless me with one Traverse 2024
I was able to order mine finally 2 weeks ago, still no deliver date though 🙄
Does this new engine recommend premium gas?
Has anyone seen this type of delay before?
I picked up mine yesterday…Startdust Metallic….RS….AWD…Regular Gas
Wish this color was available on all trim levels! The black wheels and the red accent on interior is nasty looking…love the color and would get another traverse if this color was available on all trim levels..
Maybe it’s a typo but my local dealership says it has a LT trim with the stardust metallic in transit.
Maybe if they drop the price, they would sell more vehicles.
