Heavy-duty pickups like the GMC Sierra 3500 typically find their groove at the worksite, but every so often, enthusiasts get their hands on one to create a custom ride capable of turning heads at the local car show, as well. Such is the case with this 1990 GMC Sierra 3500 Dually, which rocks a wild-looking Tridon STT body kit, plus several other interesting modifications. Now, this GMC Sierra 3500 is up for grabs in a new online auction.
What really sets this particular GMC Sierra apart is the dealer-installed Tridon STT body kit, a rarity that, according to the seller, added a whopping $12,820 to the truck’s price tag. The owner modified the hood, but the rest of the kit is as it was straight from the dealership, including the front bumper and integrated fog lights, the front grille, the fender flares, the side skirts, and the bed cowling, as well as the rear spoiler.
Further exterior modifications include LED headlights and taillights, aftermarket 16-inch wheels, tinted windows, and a custom exhaust setup with quad tips. The whole thing is sprayed in Pearl Black paint, and there’s even a cheeky little Corvette emblem on the tailgate.
Moving into the cabin, we find Brown velour upholstery and custom wood trim, as well as billet trim pieces, an aftermarket steering wheel and pedals, and an 11-inch Alpine touchscreen head unit.
Popping the hood, this Sierra cradles a stout 7.4L V8 engine rated at 230 horsepower and 385 pound-feet of torque, all of which reaches the quartet of rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.
The Sierra boasts a little over 60,000 miles on the clock, which is pretty low for a 34-year-old heavy duty pickup. The seller also states that the truck recently received service that included new shocks, control arms, tie rods, ball joints, brakes, and fan clutch, as well as new coolant and engine oil.
Now, this modified 1990 GMC Sierra 3500 Dually can be found at cars & bids, where the current highest bid of seven placed thus far is set at $7,900. The auction ends tomorrow.

It’s missing the fuzzy dash and dinkleballs.
Looks ugly.
If my horse was as ugly as that thing, I’d shoot it and walk home.
Seriously, it looks like a sporty Chrysler K car variant morphed into a truck. I almost expect it to be FWD with a Turbo 2.2L.
I was thinking the exact same thing. And, there’s an advantage to having a 2.2 if you wanted one: at least it’s not like the 5’3 with the valve train difficulties. The 2.2 was a very sturdy little engine.
For every ugly vehicle GM produces, the aftermarket and someone’s bad taste will always make them look worse.
I love diversity
One of the ugliest trucks I’ve ever seen. The auction ended at $9,100, with the reserve unmet. That’s less than 75% of the original price of the body kit ONLY. If this truck had the original bodywork, I’d speculate it would bring $20k+ at auction.
One word.. HIDEOUS!!!
