The 2024 Cadillac CT4-V drops in as the fifth model year for the sporty four-door, debuting only a few small changes compared to the previous 2023 model year. Meanwhile, the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing arrives as the third model year for the go-fast range-topper, also debuting only a handful of minor updates. Now, GM Authority has learned that two exterior paint colors for the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing have been built out for the model year.
According to GM Authority sources, Velocity Red (pant code G7C) is no longer available to order for the 2024Â Cadillac CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing. Velocity Red was made unavailable in mid-October of 2023, and was built out in late November of that year. In addition, Black Diamond Tricoat (paint code GLK) is also no longer available to order for both sedan models. Black Diamond Tricoat was made unavailable in late January of 2024, and was built out in mid-March, 2024.
Velocity Red was previously added to the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing paint lineup for the 2024 model year, and was offered in conjunction with all available interior colorways. Black Diamond Tricoat was also added to the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing paint lineup for the 2024 model year in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Cadillac V-Series sub-brand, but was only available in conjunction with certain interior colorways.
It’s unclear at the moment if Velocity Red will be available again for the Cadillac CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing for the 2025 model year. Black Diamond Tricoat, however, is not expected to return for the 2025 model year.
As a reminder, the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V cradles the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, while the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing cradles the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine. Both models ride on the GM Alpha 2 platform, and both are produced at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
