Six-Door 2008 GMC Sierra Pickup Heading To Auction In Florida

In the truck world, it seems as though the phrase “bigger is better” is often taken as a challenge, as many pickup owners appear to have an affinity for lift kits and big tires. Well, one 2008 GMC Sierra 3500 HD certainly fits this narrative, and now, it’s up for grabs via an auction.

Posted for auction by Barrett-Jackson, the biggest eye-popping factor that makes this heavy-duty pickup stand out is undoubtedly its sheer size and extra doors. Indeed, this Sierra has been stretched by way of grafting factory extended cab doors to the back of cabin. This combination gives this monster a total of six doors, which allows it to carry up to nine passengers at a time.

Of course, stretching any vehicle is more than a matter of throwing on an extra set of doors, and this 3500 HD is no different. To that end, a custom medium-duty (MD) truck frame provides the underpinnings.

In regard to the exterior styling, Fusion front and rear bumpers are paint matched to the truck, while LED lights are integrated into said bumpers. A custom Fabtech lift kit with FOX Performance Series shocks allows for the towering look, along with airbags out back. In addition, the custom dually box is highlighted by two exhaust stacks poking out through the bed.

As for rollers, this beast rides on six 22-inch Cali Offroad Wheels wrapped in 37-inch Toyo Open Country tires.

Moving to the interior, the three bench rows are upholstered in custom two-tone diamond stitched leather, while the driver is greeted by a Kelderman PSI gauge, A-pillar gauges, auxiliary switches for the various LED lights, cruise control, and a manual transfer case. Finally, an Alpine head unit has been installed and is equipped with Bluetooth and navigation.

Under the hood lies the turbodiesel 6.6L V8 Duramax engine, which is mated to an Allison 6-speed automatic transmission. A Pacific Performance Engineering tuner is included.

It’s worth noting that the ad states this this Sierra may not be emissions complaint in all 50 U.S. states.

So, what do you think, dear reader? Is this six-door 2008 GMC Sierra 3500 HD overkill or just right? Be sure to vote in the poll and fire off in the comments section below.

    1. A Six Door Dually HD versus the current Crew Cab Dually, that would easily put it well over $100k if it were in production today, as far as I’m concerned…no thank you.

  2. If it were just an LBZ and a little more factory looking… Cool truck though. Looks done well for the most part.
