The 2025 GMC Yukon is poised to introduce a mid-cycle refresh complete with a long list of updates and changes, from new styling, to an overhauled interior filled to bursting with new tech. Back in January, GM confirmed that the launch of the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon would take place during the 2024 calendar year. Now, however, we’re getting an early look at the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon AT4 thanks to the following GM Authority spy photos.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the 2025 GMC Yukon AT4 testing as a camo-clad prototype, with our photographers capturing another prototype Yukon AT4 last year wearing heavy vinyl covers front and back. This time, however, the prototype is clad in a black-and-white wrap, giving us a new look at what’s in store.
Up front, the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon will show off redesigned lighting with C-shaped LED signatures that could take inspiration from the GMC Sierra EV and refreshed, ICE-based GMC Sierra pickup truck. The fog lights will also likely be revised, as will the lower fascia styling. Under the bumper, we spot what appears to be a skid plate.
In the corners we see a set of black wheels with stylized, Y-shaped split spokes. Up top is a new comms fin to support 5G connectivity. The rear end will be revised as well, and will include new styling for the taillights and rear bumper, as well as the rear hatch. Peaking out under the rear bumper, we see four rounded exhaust pipes.
Further updates will be found in the cabin, most notably with two huge screens, as GM Authority covered previously. The infotainment layout will be similar to that of the GMC Sierra EV and 2024 GMC Acadia, with a horizontal screen behind the updated steering wheel, and a tall, portrait-style screen in the center stack.
As for the powertrain options, the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine and naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine will carry over unchanged from the current model year, while the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine is expected to replace the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine. As is the case currently, the GM T1 platform will provide the bones, while production will take place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

I’m shocked they haven’t unveiled the Yukons yet, especially since they unveiled the ‘25 Tahoe and Suburban almost 4 months ago.
Hmm, the covered up badge on the front doors looks more like an Elevation badge than AT4. Additionally, the black wheels would coincide more with an Elevation as well.
Would make sense to ditch the sle and go with elevation like the canyon and sierra
I wonder if GM will redesign the rear suspension to give these vehicles better ground clearance. The Spring mount hangs too low down negating any ride height advantage it might otherwise have.
That rear suspension hanging down design is horrible, Looks like my sons erector set made it. how am I taking this Off Road???
Pass!
This is not a concern with the locals in the Middle East who bought it.
This is the Chevrolet Tahoe z71 actually. The blue one was actually the gmc… look at the taillights closer and you’ll see Tahoe design.
Hope they introduce new interior colors.
Same old engine with lifter failure issues
Not every truck has lifter failure.
When will they change old engine with lifter failure issues ?
Toyota or Honda time when will they change old engine with lifter failure issues ?
Not a big surprise Toyota or Honda time when will they change old engine with lifter failure issues ?
Not a big surprise Toyota or Honda time when will they change old powertrain
Toyota or Honda time
Geeze, putting all of your thoughts into one comment must be challenging for you huh? The 3.0L diesel is an available engine and has been a solid performer thus far. Also, there’s plenty of people with Toyota’s new hybrid drivetrain in the new Tundra with massive issues.
Need a total redesign
