The No. 01 Cadillac V-Series.R will sport a special gold wrap for the 12 Hours of Sebring – and so will a pair of Chevy Corvette Z06 GT3.R machines, joining the 50th anniversary celebration for Mobil 1 motor oil with a flashy new look.
The No. 3 and No. 4 Vette race cars of Pratt Miller Motorsports (PMM) will be dressed in gold for the race at Sebring with Mobil 1 on the hood as the event’s primary sponsor. Antonio Garcia, Alexander Sims and Daniel Juncandella will share the No. 3 Corvette Z06 GT3.R during the 12-hour endurance race, while time in the No. 4 Vette will be split between Tommy Milner, Nicky Catsburg and Earl Bamber as they chase the checkered flag.
Additionally, fans of The Bow Tie are invited to check out the Chevrolet Motorsports exhibition onsite at Sebring. Meanwhile, the Chevrolet Ride and Drive display offers a hands-on look at vehicles like the Corvette Stingray convertible, the Traverse Z71, Blazer EV RS, Silverado 1500, an example of the LT6.R racing engine and more.
PMM turned laps in the new Corvette Z06 GT3.R race car at Sebring late last year, gathering valuable performance metrics to better prepare them for the 2024 IMSA season with a new car in the stable. This weekend, 17 turns spread across 3.74 miles await, and the Vette Racing crew is ready for the challenge.
“I’m looking forward to Sebring a heck of a lot,” said Sims. “The way last year’s race worked out still perplexes me! So now it will be cool to go there and try to get my first Sebring GT win, after coming home second a few seasons ago.”
Juncandella shared his teammate’s sentiments. “This is no secret or mystery,” he said. “Winning at Sebring is more exciting than winning at a lot of other places. It’s a race where a lot of things happen over the 12 hours. There is so much history behind it. It’s a very cool event.”
The green flag at Sebring will drop at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday, March 16th, 2024.
