Introduced for the 2024 model year, the Corvette E-Ray brings something to the table that no production-spec Corvette ever has, an AWD system. With a total output of 655 horsepower, the C8 E-Ray is certainly no slouch, but Lingenfelter felt that it could do better and has slapped a supercharger on the electrified Vette.
In a video posted to social media, we find a red 2024 Corvette E-Ray strapped down on a dyno. From the outside, it looks like any other C8 E-Ray, however, peeking under the engine bay reveals a red-painted cover hiding a Magnuson blower. Unfortunately, no power figures were detailed as they’re still working on the performance machine, but we’re told to stay tuned for updates.
Sharp-eyed readers may notice the center-mounted exhaust system. Of course, U.S.-spec C8 Stingray and E-Ray models leave the factory with outboard exhaust outlets, so the setup seen on this particular 2024 Corvette E-Ray is custom built.
As a reminder, the 2024 Corvette C8 E-Ray is unique in the Corvette world by way of adding a hybrid system to its V8 engine. More specifically, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine – the same powerplant found in the Corvette Stingray and rated at 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque in standard form – is paired with a single front-mounted electric motor that draws power from a 1.9-kWh battery pack nestled between the seats. All said and done, this combination is good for a total of 655 horsepower.
This power figure, along with the AWD system, enables the E-Ray to catapult from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, making the quickest production-spec Corvette to date.

In regard to structure, all Chevy Corvette models – including the C8 Stingray and C8 Z06 – ride on the GM Y2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

Depends on the Lingenfelter pricing. Stock E-Ray $115K + $50K supercharger upgrade and tune.
So let me get this straight…the “stock” C8 Corvette rips 0-60 in 2.9 seconds (very quick) the C8 E-Ray Corvette rips 0-60 in 2.5 seconds (very, very quick) so what can we expect from the Supercharged E-Ray Corvette with maybe another 150 HP?
Lets see…the “stock” base C8 has a rated 495 HP, the “stock” E-Ray has 655 HP, hummmm…and the “force inducted” E-Ray should easily put out over 800 HP, or maybe more! Holy Crap! I can see some very low if not 2 second flat 0-60 mph runs when this car is tuned to perfection and maybe, just maybe a sub 2 second run to 60 mph with all things are just right!
Okay…lets have some fun here. How about a Supercharged Z06 in an E-Ray Chassis, with AWD, hummmm, thats over 850HP but now with the traction of all wheel drive and that sneaky “EV Battery” set up pushing another 165+HP and so “doing the math” puts it at well over the 1000 horsepower mark…with AWD! And those oh so popular “0-60” runs should go well under the 2 second mark, sort of where some of the multi million dollar Super Cars (and some force inducted Turbo Porsche’s have held the honor of a sub 2 second 0-60 run) and do it for way less than any of those million dollar foreign Super Cars have been known to run at! Oh hell yeah, I can see the C8 line up, after being “played with” literally going after just about anything known to exist running on “Petrol” on the highways, roads and byways of the world! Hot Day-Am!
I think your correct. All ill say is look at current drag runs from C7 cars with Hoosiers. The AWD will be a benefit, but currently there are nitrous super turbocharged C7’s that run high 1’s and single digit 1/4’s. With AWD this will be a street car that is approaching those numbers in the 0-60 range, but will be limited in the 1/4 as the electric motor does out.
So add the 205HP from the already built super charger for the Stingray looking at around 860HP.
Hope they are upgrading axel and trans.
Going to be a best in a straight line. Will need suspension and aero to be faster than Z06 on a track.
So I’m thinking maybe doing some moer “trick stuff” to the up and coming ZR-1, like the AWD and battery addition HP and maybe a forced induction setup through the factory…or (gasp!) a dual Turbo setup that’ll certainly push the current Z06 engine to over the 1000 horsepower mark! Sky’s the limit (well, the money factor is the real limit here I guess) but Chevy has the tools and the ability to push the C8 Corvette to some amazing limits, and yes…they’ll need to make sure that the drivetrain is capable of handling the added power, plus the chassis will have to be upgraded too, but all of this can be done, GM has the knowledge through years of racing experience on the race tracks all over the world. Yep, it’s going to be an even more amazing sports car platform if “The Powers That Be” at GM deem it worth while to compete with the rest of the world. Fingers crossed, lets show the rest of the world that the USA can compete on ALL levels, from the street to the race tracks & that it can compete in the show rooms by keeping the cost of these C8 Corvette’s “reasonable”. Just do it, GM!
Kind of slow 0-60 Stock Blown 23 F150 4×4 dose it in 2.2…….. not very impressive for a sports car!
How is the new ZR1 gonna beat this car? There’s no way the new Z can put enough power down with rear wheel drive to beat this AWD car. Doesn’t the Z06 have some traction issues now? How bad is traction gonna be adding another 150-200HP. Basically a Lingenfelter version of the upcoming Zora.
