Here’s When 2025 Cadillac CT4 Production Will Start

The 2025 Cadillac CT4 will carry the subcompact luxury sedan forward into at least one more model year, bringing the sixth year of the vehicle’s first generation to the North American market. GM Authority has learned when the start of regular production (SORP) for the CT4 will take place.

According to the latest information, production of the 2025 Cadillac CT4 will begin on June 3rd, 2024. While this information is accurate at the current time it is still tentative and subject to change during the intervening period.

Earlier, it was unclear if the Cadillac CT4 and several other Cadillac models would continue into the 2025 model year or if they would be discontinued as part of Caddy’s push for an all-electric portfolio by 2030. While the CT4 is in need of a mid-cycle refresh, there are no indications that The General plans such an update at this moment.

For now, the 2025 Cadillac CT4 is expected to introduce only minor updates and changes. It continues to serve as the entry-level model among Caddy’s sedan offerings, while being available with two performance variants, the mid-range Cadillac CT4-V and the powerful Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing.

As a reminder, the 2025 Cadillac CT4 will continue to offer two powerplant options, which include the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine developing 237 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm. All three trim levels of the CT4 offer this powertrain as the standard option, marking such vehicles with the 350T badge.

Additionally, Premium Luxury trims can be optioned with the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine supplying 310 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 350 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm. The LSY engine uses the GM eight-speed automatic transmission for cog swaps while the L3B engine sends the power to the pavement with the GM 10-speed automatic transmission.

The 2025 Cadillac CT4 continues to be underpinned by the GM Alpha 2 platform behind the body panels. North American production of the sedan is carried out at the GM Lansing Grand River Assembly plant in Michigan.

  1. The next stellar product to be starved, and ultimately killed off, by GM

    1. We love our 2022 CT4-V. Just the right size in an ICE vehicle. Would like to see 400 hp in the next CT4-V, other than that only minor changes need to occur. If GM or Cadillac discontinues this vehicle, and no more like this. it will be the end of our buying GM. NO EVs or SUV/Crossovers for me. Much as I hate to we will have to go to a foreign car.

  2. So a 2025 model, but not expected to get the new 33″ screen like the CT5 built on the same line? And no front fascia refresh either?

Wow, GM showing their cards that this car is dead.

  3. I’m so glad I got mine when I did, it’s truly a fine automobile with very few shortcomings. It’s the Blackwing!

    1. The CT4 BW is awesome. To me it is the closest thing you can get to an old Mitsu EVO IX. Same grip, handling, tossability, steering (just much more power and rwd).

  4. Just go with the all digital gauge cluster and make the infotainment screen a few inches bigger. Whatever they used on the 20-24 CT5. The current screen is so tiny.

  5. Add a front camera so we can more easily tell when the carbon splitter is getting dangerously close to the parking block.

    1. We loved our 2017 ATS Coupe, but we traded it for the Ct4- V. Much better performance and the car is an upgrade.
