Here’s When 2025 Buick Enclave Production Will Start

The 2025 Buick Enclave is set to debut an all-new third generation for the full-size crossover SUV, bringing with it new styling, an overhauled cabin, new tech features, and a new turbocharged engine. Although GM has yet to pull the sheets off the next-gen Enclave officially, GM Authority has already covered the crossover extensively, even bringing you photos of the restyled exterior well before you’re supposed to see it. Now, GM Authority has learned when 2025 Buick Enclave production is scheduled to start.

According to GM Authority sources, the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2025 Buick Enclave is scheduled to start on June 17th, 2024. Production will take place at the GM Lansing Township plant in Michigan. Additionally, GM Authority has learned that order banks for the all-new Enclave are expected to open on May 2nd, 2024.

Note that these dates are tentative and subject to change.

When it does finally make splashdown, the all-new 2025 Buick Enclave will debut new exterior styling that follows the brand’s latest design language, as pioneered by the Buick Wildcat EV concept unveiled in 2022. The new styling will include thin, angular upper lighting signatures, as well as prominent Y-shaped styling lines around a trapezoidal front intake. Squared-off lighting elements on the sides of the fascia will provide the primary forward lighting.

The cabin space will be totally overhauled as well, and will feature large digital screens, with a widescreen display for infotainment and a digital gauge cluster, similar to the Cadillac Lyriq. The GM Super Cruise system may be optional as well. The new Enclave is also expected to offer a fully loaded Avenir trim level with all the usual top-shelf goodies.

As for the greasy bits, the 2025 Enclave is expected to cradle the new turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, which will connect to the GM eight-speed automatic transmission. Output should be rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, just like the new GMC Acadia and Chevy Traverse.

Under the skin, the 2025 Buick Enclave will continue to ride on the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform.

  1. Thank you, Jonathan. I wonder if the new Buick Envision will be fully revealed before the Enclave. And when is the first Buick Electra due?

  2. This will be interesting. It is supposed to be unveiled during March Madness, but because the reaction to the spy photos have been so negative, maybe GM will delay and enhance the design.

GM Authority did a great service by breaking the news of the 2025 and if Buick changes the design of the Enclave we can thank this website and its readers

  3. What a design disaster. Fire these designers STAT! Buicks must always be beautiful and elegant. This thing doesn’t look good from any angle.

    1. There’s nothing about this design, that says it’s a, and all the designers should be fired, along with the idiot that approved it. With exception to the reared of the new Enclave. The current 3 redesigns all look like a reimagined Ford Escape, and what an insult to Buick design that is!

    2. Well, I guess you’re not allowed to post anything like the 3 new CUV’s looking like a reimagined FORD ESCAPE!! they need to fire the designers and all the brass that gave final approval on design and engine choice for the new Enclave!

  4. Ughhh. GM has really lost its way. Another snore fest design. Forgettable. Disappointed. Moving on…

    1. i thought about one thing
maybe grille with the buick logo and nice chrome might help front end,
but from rear doors back sucks

  6. What an ugly POS. Rear end is awful, and the gray plastic wheel wells and rocker panels look cheap. New Traverse and Acadia are much better looking. Buick has lost their way styling wise. A major disappointment from Buick who has been noted for their elegant styling in the past. Only decent looking vehicle from Buick now is the restyled 2024 Envision (by the way where is it, 2024 model year is halfway over)? I’ve been a Buick guy all my life but I’m afraid I’m going to look elsewhere for my next vehicle. I think GM is trying real hard to kill off Buick, much like Oldsmobile and Pontiac.

    1. On the ugly:
Yeah, I agree. It looks disjointed, as it seems like it/the exterior has different designs in every area. There’s no flowing theme of it other than a hodgepodge of different concepts.

  7. Oh joy, another over stressed turbo four that NOBODY asked for that has absolutely horrendous throttle response. And with that Buick’s lineup is Nothing BUT Turbo 4s! Buicks are supposed to have engines that are smooth, quiet and powerful; and a turbo 4 is anything but that! (Especially because they are tuning these engines for fuel economy rather than power)

  8. Design is terrible! I hate “Pure” design, perfered front fascia of Encore and Envista. Thus car is so non discript! Looks like Ford met Nissan. Meanwhile, Acura and Mazda have beautiful designs

  9. GM, cool it with the low headlight designs. Never should have happened. Like those front marker lights in the wheelwells, all of the little lemmings have to follow once one does it.

    1. Seriously – why did they get so hyper over this design trend?? Someone saw a Jeep Cherokee in 2014 and decided that every single GM vehicle should have the same thing.

  10. Still searching for where the “exceptional” parts of it are……

  11. You know we have lost our way when this is the best that Buick can come up with. An entire lineup of turbo 3 and 4 cylinder noisy engines. Zero brand identity with the terrible front end design. A literal badge engineer job using the same basic body panels and doors. Dull boring grey finished wheels that look so cheap followed by cheap black plastic slathered all over the bottom portion of the vehicle. Seriously they would have been better off giving the 2023 model an MCE and new interior with updated tech compared to this mess!

  12. Yup. It’s been over a week since I first saw the pics of this thing. It has NOT gotten any better looking.

Sadly, when I was younger, my friends and I would speak about women we saw out and about and it was not a good thing. That’s the sad part that I’m admitting to. Anyhow, the very attractive girls we all wanted. The less attractive ones would be rated by how many drinks it would take or how many bags over the head. Yes. Deplorable even for young teens. My point is that this new Enclave would be the max amount of drinks and two bags. Yes. It’s that ugly.

  13. UGLY UGLY, They should fire the whole design team and the Brass who
gave the Ok on this car. The roof should be more slope. The sides are to flat looking.
The front end – put a cover over it. The rear end needs help!!
Looks to me they were trying to save money on the whole design of this car.

  14. What I don’t like is the whole back half from the B pillar back. Fake wrap around window look creates and even bigger blind spot.

  15. This could be next gen Dodge Journey. It looks bland without any rizz. Appears smaller so design will probably be used in China to reduce production costs making just 1 Enclave

  16. Don’t understand why a beautifull SUV like the Enclave is being turned into something that is butt ugly, not to mention changing out a perfectly good engine for a 4 banger turbo. Somebody real high up the food chain is living in La La land.

  17. I’m pretty sure my customers won’t buy this ugly thing and they sure won’t buy a 4 cyl. I don’t care if it has 1000 horsepower it will make a lot of noise! Very sad to see Buick go the way of Oldsmobile, but keep on like this and it will.

    1. Greg: I don’t agree about the engine. In fact, I have no idea why Buick (GM) is briinging this “new” Enclave out with at least a PHEV option or just EV. But just like when brands were going from 8 cyl to 6 cyl and everyone said they would never buy one. That won’t happen and when they go to all the other brands and find just 4 cyl there, it will bring them around.

However, there’s just no getting any buyers into this vehicle without them seeing the outside. That styling is a deal breaker.

  18. I agree the car is unattractive, but changing to a 4cyl. turbo is what everyone is doing. Most BMWs and Mercedes are now 4cyl. turbos. I suspect reason has to do with fuel economy and torque rather than engine tone or smoothness.

  19. I was just reading about the xt6 not getting a new update design this year above this story , then scroll down to this and I see that the doors and back quarter window look like it’s straight from the XT6. gm (lower case) is playing us for a fool. China get new models and remakes and we get the old leftovers. This clearly shows that g.m. restyled the traverse & Acadia but only changed the backend and grill on XT6 and recalled it a enclave to save money. Plus I really think that even the traverse and Acadia also share same doors so GM just restyled them models to also use same doors but put more effort in them styles. Penny pinching

  21. I’ve got both a 22 and 23 Avenier and love them. Looking at the 25 I might have to start looking at something else. They can take those 22 inch wheels and shove them along with the new grill.

  22. I don’t understand why so many negative comments. I think that the design is beautiful. The turbo 4 has more hp and torque than the engine it replaces. I would not hesitate to purchase the new enclave. If you don’t like the design or the engine, then don’t buy it when it comes out.

    1. I went and drove a new Acadia Denali and was very disappointed my wife asked the salesman if the rubber band was going to break. ( Very noisy for a $65,000 vehicle. If this is any indication of what the Enclave is going to be I’ll either be keeping the one I have or looking at other brands. So disappointing since I love the Enclave Aveniers we have.
