About GMC Terrain

The 2024 GMC Terrain arrives with minimal changes, specifically losing two paint colors, while the GMC Pro Safety Plus package is now standard on the AT4 trim level and remains standard on the Denali trim and optional on the SLE and SLT trims.

Meanwhile, 2024 GMC Terrain pricing shows most trim levels as being more affordable than 2023 Terrain. This is because both SLE and SLT trims removed the three years of OnStar & Connected Services Plan, which caused the starting prices of both trim levels to drop by $1,200. In that package’s place is three years of OnStar Remote Access. The off-road-oriented AT4 trim also receives a price drop of $505, getting the Remote Access package and some active safety tech packages as standard. The Denali trim receives no changes in equipment or price and retains the costlier OnStar Premium plan. Check out all the 2024 Terrain pricing with options.

Here is everything new and different for the 2024 GMC Terrain.

The 2025 GMC Terrain is on the way as a next-generation model, set to arrive later this year. Here’s what we know and expect regarding the 2025 Terrain. GM Authority has learned that production of the third-generation Terrain at the GM San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico has been pushed back a few months to October 14th.

Exclusive details of the 2025 GMC Terrain interior reveal a cockpit design similar to that of the all-new 2024 GMC Acadia, confirmed by photos of the next-gen Terrain interior spied for the first time.

  1. I was on a trip and needed to grab a rental. I anticipated maybe a sub-compact, but they were out. What did they have? A GMC Terrain SLE. I decided to grab it and went over 100 miles in two days parallel parking, highway driving, downtown driving, and everything else in between. The 1.5l had more than enough power for my needs, but the car was not without its quirks. The engine was a tad buzzy when floored. It was also a little loud upon cold start (needed to let the engine idle for 10 seconds), and it had a habit of banging as if I hit a pothole if I turned the wheels sharply and gunned it from a dead stop (e.g. quickly turning at an intersection). Maybe there were potholes but I didn’t see them.

Aside from those quirks, the car was perfect for what I needed. Since it was a bigger city, I appreciated the smaller length. I’m used to a Buick Lacrosse, so this was quite easy to maneuver.
