About Chevrolet Traverse
The 2023 Chevy Traverse arrived largely unchanged from the refreshed 2022 Chevy Traverse.
A year ago January, Consumer Reports gave the 2023 Chevy Traverse a “recommended” rating.
GM is offering a carryover 2024 Chevy Traverse Limited model due to the result of the UAW labor strike, which delayed the launch of the all-new third generation 2024 Chevrolet Traverse. The 2024 Traverse Limited remained unchanged from the 2023 model year.
The online configurator tool is live for the 2023 Traverse.
This past summer, GM revealed the next-gen 2024 Chevy Traverse, introducing a design that evokes “a rugged, ready-for-anything presence” along with a fully overhauled cabin with a “best-in-class” 17.7-inch diagonal color infotainment touchscreen. Furthermore, the vaunted GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistance feature will be available for the first time ever on the Traverse, thanks to the adoption of GM’s new Global B electronic architecture, plus heated windshield wipers.
Four trim levels are currently available for the all-new 2024 Chevy Traverse, including LS, LT, and RS, plus a new off-road-focused Z71 trim for the first time ever on the three-row large crossover, marking the first unibody vehicle to wear the Z71 badge.
The High Country trim has been dropped, though we still expect the third-gen Chevy Traverse to offer a high-end Premier trim and range-topping High Country trim sometime in the near future. In fact, the new 2024 Traverse RS is based on the forthcoming Premier trim.
The next-gen 2024 Traverse offers a single powertrain choice, an all-new turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine that develops 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, representing an additional 18 horsepower and 60 pound-feet compared to the outgoing 3.6L V6 LFY engine – an impressive 22.5-percent increase in peak torque. The maximum trailering rating for the all-new, third-generation Traverse stays the same at 5,000 pounds.
An eight-speed automatic transmission drives the front wheels as standard on the 2024 Traverse, with all-wheel drive available on all trim levels as a “regular” system while the Z71 trim level exclusively sports an “off-road-capable” twin-clutch system.
Pricing uncovered for the next-gen 2024 Chevy Traverse shows price increases ranging from $3,080 to $9,155. Check out all 2024 Traverse pricing with options and packages.
Production of the third-generation 2024 Traverse is now under way at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan. Here’s what we know about 2024 Traverse deliveries so far.

Mmmmm, wrong under-powered engine to blame again like the Malibu and Equinox? Ask the female at GM who is in charge of that department. She is making bad decisions that are costing GM money and market share.
First it is the 2024 limited which has the V6 some many clueless people only want. Second, the 2024 with the turbo 4 has more power and tons more torque and will be far from underpowered, especially since the current gen isn’t underpowered. Any other clueless troll comments you want to make that are misinformed?
The Equinox is selling very well and isn’t underpowered, just adequately powered (0-60 in the 8 second range is plenty for that buyer demographic) and the Malibu is still selling well despite being a decade old?
Yup, I have read those specs about that new 4-cylinder engine and they look good. So if this engine is so wonderful why isn’t GM promoting it? Maybe it’s not so wonderful after all since many are being recalled and replaced because of cracked blocks? I wouldn’t own one without a 150k mile warranty. There have been many negative comments about the Malibu and Equinox going to the 1.5 tiny turbo and a CVT drive instead of a traditional transmission and elimination of the 2.0 for no good reason except for ignorance of their customer’s preferences. If you check the stats, Equinox and Malibu sales are down, heavily for the Malibu. Traverse sales last quarter were huge, maybe people heard that the v-6 was going away. Some people live in the mountains or like to tow and want a bit more under the hood, which makes perfect sense to me. If GM wants to force these changes on their customers maybe they should spend some time explaining why and how they are just as good or maybe better than what they are replacing?? Sounds like good business practice to me. But what would a clueless troll know about that?
