Chevy Equinox Average Transaction Price Stable In Q4 2023

Standing as the second-most popular Chevy offering, the Chevy Equinox remains a mainstay in the Bow Tie brand’s product lineup. That being said, the average transaction price of the compact crossover remained relatively stable over the course of Q4 2023.

According to a report from Cox Automotive, the Chevy Equinox posted a 0.5-percent decline in average transaction price to $31,981 in Q4 2023. For reference, 2024 Equinox MSRPs range from $27,995 to $34,795 before options and packages. Meanwhile, sales of the Bow Tie crossover jumped over 20 percent to 58,559 units during the same timeframe.

It’s worth noting that sales of the Bow Tie brand fell 0.5 percent to 406,848 units in Q4 2023, while overall General Motors sales increased just 0.2 percent to 619,684 units.

As a reminder, the Chevy Equinox is set to receive an all-new generation for the upcoming 2025 model year that will feature substantial changes to the exterior design, interior appointment and technological goodies. Starting with the styling, the 2025 Equinox will boast a design more consistent with Chevy’s current styling language, which translates to the signature two-tier “highbrow” headlight treatment similar to that of the Chevy Traverse and Chevy Blazer, along with thin upper lighting signatures.

Out back, there will be a set of horizontally oriented taillights, along with dual exhaust outlets.

In regard to the interior, the cabin will also be massively overhauled with better ergonomics and more usable space, as well as a new digital gauge cluster prominently displayed behind a new steering wheel. An all-new infotainment system will be present, along with new active safety features and GM Super Cruise technology.

Under the hood, all 2025 Equinox models will feature the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine, rated at 175 horsepower along with 184 pound-feet of torque in FWD variants, or 203 pound-feet of torque in AWD units, as standard. Speaking of which, FWD units will be equipped with the continuously variable transmission (CVT), while AWD units will receive the GM eight-speed automatic transmission.

Under the body panels, the next-gen Equinox will ride on an updated variant of the GM D2 platform. Production is currently scheduled to kick off on May 20th, 2024 at the GM San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico.

  1. Not everyone wants or can afford a $60 to $100K vehicle. The 1,5 turbo doesn’t seem to be an issue either. Our 2020 LT has plenty of power in all needed applications and gets 31mpg on the road.

  2. $8K off sticker near here if you’re willing to drive 150 miles. Locally, they want sticker. Not falling for that.

  3. Davey my friends wife had a 1.5 equinox she loves it good gas mileage and pretty peppy for most people and if your not happy with that you can get a trifecta engine CPU tune that raises HP and tourqe…it will be interesting to see if the 8 speed automatic makes a difference.

  5. The dealer discounts and rebates from GM totaled $9390 for our 2024 Equinox LT this past December. I knew the 25s where coming out and would be redesigned and that the 24s would be discounted so that is why we traded in our 2019 Equinox LT since all of the warranties were off. This is our around town car and gets 30mpg in town and is comfortable, affordable and I am a Chevy person.
