Below, we’ve included sales figures for full-size luxury crossovers for reference. Though they differ mechanically from the aforementioned body-on-frame SUVs by utilizing a unibody construction, they are typically cross-shopped and considered alternatives to regular full-size luxury SUVs. The only full-size luxury crossovers are the BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, and Land Rover Range Rover. The rumored Audi Q9 is finally incoming to rival the Escalade and would slot into this space. Notably, the regular-length Escalade alone outsells each of them individually, and the Escalade family makes up 66 percent, or two-thirds, of the combined sales of these models.

The GM Authority Take
While Cadillac Escalade sales during the fourth quarter of 2023 grew slower than the segment average, the Escalade family still maintained its dominance to command nearly half of all sales in the lucrative full-size luxury SUV space.
Escalade sales may have been affected since the UAW expanded its strike to the GM Arlington plant in Texas at the end of October, where these full-size luxury SUVs are built, as contract negotiations stalled till a GM-UAW labor contract was ratified in November. Escalade inventory was already low in September, though Cadillac inventory increased slightly in October, but Cadillac dealer inventory remained below the industry average in November.

The 2024 Cadillac Escalade arrives with a few changes and updates, including Super Cruise now standard on most trim levels, and the 2024 Escalade-V will get 20th Anniversary features to celebrate two decades of the Cadillac V-Series sub-brand. Additionally, the 2024 Escalade drops the Mahogany Metallic paint color, which is the one thing different from the 2024 model year, but adds Black Diamond Tricoat on the 2024 Escalade-V.
On another note, a new study finds that the Cadillac Escalade doesn’t hold its value very well.
Production of the 2024 Escalade started this past November.
The upcoming refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade, which has been delayed from the 2024 model year, will receive exterior styling revisions and feature a full-width, pillar-to-pillar infotainment display panel similar to that of the Cadillac Celestiq ultra-luxury sedan. In fact, the mid-cycle enhancement shows a copy-paste from the Cadillac Escalade IQ, highlighted below. The 2025 Escalade will also get 5G network connectivity.
Recent spy shots of the refreshed 2025 Escalade prototype show off new 24-inch wheels and an Escalade IQ-inspired front fascia.
Here’s everything we know and expect regarding the 2025 Cadillac Escalade, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V, and the 2025 Escalade-V ESV.
On the EV front, GM debuted the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ in August, the first-ever all-electric full-size SUV from the luxury marque. Highlights of the Escalade IQ include streamlined styling, a tech-heavy feature list, a 55-inch infotainment screen, and a top range of 450 miles with 750 horsepower on tap. Production is slated to kick off next year. Compare dimensions of the 2025 Escalade IQ vs. ICE Escalade.
