Buick Envista Average Transaction Price Tops $27K In Q4 2023

Making its debut way back in April 2023, the Buick Envista serves to attract younger buyers to the Tri-Shield brand as its entry-level offering. Now, the average transaction price of this all-new crossover coupe was over $27,000 during Q4 2023.

According to a report from Cox Automotive, the Buick Envista had an ATP of $27,588 in Q4 2023, making it the most affordable Buick product currently in production. Meanwhile, sales stood at 7,917 units over the course of the same timeframe, which places the Envista at the bottom of Buick’s sales podium in regard to vehicles still in production.

It’s worth noting that sales of the Tri-Shield brand itself increased nearly 57 percent to 42,162 units in Q4 2023, while overall General Motors sales increased a scant 0.2 percent to 619,684 units. In addition, the Envista wasn’t sold in the United States in Q4 2022, hence why there aren’t any percentage changes.

As a reminder, the Buick Envista is all-new for the 2024 model year, and was developed with the goal of generating interest from a younger audience. As such, the exterior design is inspired from the Buick Wildcat EV concept car, along with a crossover coupe profile, which is unique in the mainstream space.

Moving on to the interior, the cabin is highlighted by an 11-inch diagonal infotainment screen, while the Buick driver confidence package is equipped as standard fare. More specifically, this means that every Envista unit features Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, IntelliBeam automatic high beams, and more. Of course, further safety and driver assist technologies are also available.

In regard to powertrain specifications, every Envista model is equipped with the same powertrain combination as standard, which includes the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, rated at 136 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, and the GM six-speed automatic transmission.

Under the body panels, the Envista rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set, while production takes place at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea.

  1. Absolutely and totally outrageous. Probably because most they are building are absurd Avenirs. I looked at a base Preferred online and, of those available, mainly in Cali, of course, the asking price was around $22K. Where it should be. More gouging and greed by an automaker.

    1. The Avenir is the only way to get all the goodies and still come in at a decent figure Harry.

  2. Every single review I’ve read about the Buick Envista has been positive, saying what a great value it is. Beachy, you complain so much about Buick, I wonder what make and model of a vehicle you drive.

  3. I was behind one of these a few days ago. The rear lights might be the most inefficient use of space I have ever seen. The main/upper taillights are only taillights without integrated brake lights. The actual brake lights are are singular units on the lower bumper. Just a really bad design.

Add in the barely adequate power (as confirmed in numerous professional reviews), the glitchy electronics and infotainment being reported by real world owners, and the long wait times for parts for warranty repairs also being reported by owners, and the new Trax/Envista are the poster children for “getting what you paid for”.

Sure, they *look* nice. However they are decidedly entry level in every single way. Then there are the dealers putting substantial markups on these, and they immediately lose any value proposition they may have had.

    1. Placing the brake lights or the rear turning lights on the lower bumper is a bad design and to some extent a safety hazard. I have seen several Hyundai products with the same design. In traffic you cannot see a few cars ahead if the guy driving that car is braking or turning. The turning lights are placed so low on the rear bumper that sometimes you cannot notice them blinking if you are right behind, driving in a pickup truck or a large SUV.

  4. I purchased a 2024 Buick Envista Avenir and I absolutely love this automobile! It is fully equipped, beautifully designed, and an extremely comfortable an quiet driving experience at an MSRP of $31,550. Unbelievable product at a very affordable price!

  5. Finally a positive comment by Dennis! I think this looks good and is different . Beachy would complain even if this car only cost $15 thousand he’s a miserable human being! And Emanon some people like a base model car without gobs of power also never buy the first year a brand new car comes out.
