Recently refreshed for the 2024 model year, the Buick Encore GX received many updates to the exterior and interior that made it a more desirable product for prospective buyers, as is reflected in the crossover’s sales figures. Now, the average transaction price of the Encore GX fell slightly during Q4 2023.
According to a report from Cox Automotive, the average transaction price of the Buick Encore GX decreased 1.5 percent to $29,865. Meanwhile, sales of the Tri-Shield brand’s crossover increased 52 percent to 13,755 units over the course of Q4 2023, making it the most popular Buick offering during that timeframe.
It’s worth noting that sales of the Tri-Shield brand itself increased nearly 57 percent to 42,162 units in Q4 2023, while overall General Motors sales increased just 0.2 percent to 619,684 units.
Of course, this mild drop in ATP figures comes at an odd time, as one may expect the aforementioned mid-cycle refresh and the addition of the range-topping Avenir trim level to raise transaction prices. However, this turned out to not be the case, at least during Q4 2023.
As a reminder, the Encore GX is offered with the choice between two engine options, including the standard turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, and the available turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3TÂ gasoline engine, rated at 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque.
Transmission option depends on the chosen drivetrain configuration, as FWD units are equipped with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), and AWD units are paired with the GM nine-speed automatic.
In regard to structure, the Encore GX rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set, while production of the 2024 model year kicked off in March 2023 at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea. Looking forward, the 2025 Encore GX is currently scheduled to commence production in April 2025.

There are plenty of these on lots near me but slim pickins for the Envista, Trax and Trailblazer. I don’t understand.
Most Envista and Trax are going to be at least 10% less money, if not more – hence why you won’t see those hanging out on lots.
Chevy dealer by me has rebates on Trailblazers. Not much, just $1000 off. But the Trax has no rebates whatsoever. The Equinox has lots of rebates though. I’m wondering if many people are simply shelling out a tad bit more for the larger Equinox instead of the Trailblazer.
Our Buick dealer has bunches of Encore GX’s on their lot. Only a few Envista’s. Gotta be the 30 plus thousand they want for them in the nicer levels. Just seems too much for a little car like that.
