Infiniti has pulled the sheets on the 2025 Infiniti QX80, revealing the all-new SUV ahead of its official public debut at the 2024 New York International Auto Show. The new QX80 is equipped with a turbocharged V6 producing 450 horsepower and more than 500 pound-feet of torque, as well as a new exterior and interior design packed with high-end features. When it launches this summer, the 2025 Infiniti QX80 will rival the Cadillac Escalade.
Outside, the 2025 Infiniti QX80 debuts the brand’s latest design language, dubbed “Artistry in Motion.” Highlights include a signature double-arch grille and LED daytime running lights, as well as full-width LED taillights. There are also flush door handles, while a welcome lighting sequence and illuminated Infiniti emblem add final touches to the styling.
Inside the cabin, you’ll find soft-touch materials and open-pore ash wood trim, as well as laser-etched metal inlays. Semi-aniline leather seating is optional. A 64-color Personalized Ambient Lighting system is onboard as well. The infotainment spec includes the Infiniti InTouch system and a pair of 14.3-inch digital displays, plus Google built-in, a first for the brand, with Google Assistant, Google Maps, and other apps through Google Play. There’s also automatic climate control and Invisible Hood View, the latter of which uses camera technology to provide the driver with a view around tight corners.
As for the powertrain specs, the 2025 Infiniti QX80 is equipped as standard with a twin-turbo 3.5L V6 engine producing a maximum of 450 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. Output is routed through a new nine-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifting. Rear-wheel drive is standard, while four-wheel drive is optional. Electronic Air Suspension is optional and can lower the vehicle nearly three inches for easier loading.
Pricing for the 2025 Infiniti QX80 starts at $82,450, excluding destination and handling charges. Look for it to hit dealers later this summer.

This is a solid attempt by Infiniti. However, those prices are too much for the brand, $90K, that is when customers just go to GMC, Lincoln, or Cadillac.
Sales will remain dismal in North America without cash on the hood. However, they do have a global market to go after. The Middle East Especially.
I still think the first gen model or the qx56 was the only good looking model on this platform. This just proves it more
Should sell well in the Middle East.
You’re not kidding. I was amazed how popular this and the Patrol are in Dubai.
The Patrol probably will have the twin turbo V6 as well. GM is now the only V8 in the segment.
The QX80 is playing catch up now with some few features unique here and there. Even though I’m not blown away by the looks of the interior, it is a major step forward. Need to read the media press release on their website before I can form a proper opinion if I’m impressed overall or not.
The QX80 had been around for a long time with a few years debuting after the Escalade in the mid ’00 decade and is a popular brand which has the potential to give the Escalade a good run for its money volume-wise in sales.
“…has the potential to give the Escalade a good run for its money volume-wise in sales.”
Not really. The Slade is almost certainly going to continue to sell around 3x as many units as the QX80. It hasn’t been close in years.
No matter the product, the Infiniti brand has never been a particularly strong luxury player. A tier two player at best.
And while the Cadillac brand has it’s own issues, the Escalade nameplate has easily and consistently been their strongest product from a brand image and profitability standpoint. It’s brand image numbers are so strong, it’s practically its own brand…at least in the US.
Please reread the last paragraph slowly. I did not say that it will match the Escalade volume-wise but given a thorough redesign, it has “potential” meaning if you work harder than anyone else, most likely you will be successful, understand?
Even I know that the Escalade brand is very strong but saying that the QX80 is not a popular model, you are lying to yourself; I see tons of QX80s on the road but not as many like the Escalade.
No way ever the QX80 will catch up. In 2022 alone Slade sales totaled over 40,000 the QX80 just over 7k. If you see them everywhere, you must live near the assembly plant in Japan.
Not a big threat. If this had been introed in 2019, it would have been priced at $75K, tops, and that’s where it still should be.
Are they any more reliable then the Nissan version?
No, except maybe for the electronics. Expect the Patrol to be slightly less complicated, with the Platinium probably having the air suspension as optional equipment unlike the QX80. Other than that mechanically they will have the same problems.
Ho hum. Those generic EV recessed exterior door handles give the side a really dull appearance as does the lack of any brightwork and the dull android wheels. Hopefully this is just a sport version and they make nicer more upscale versions
Pricing I believe identical to the slade, which I thought started at 82 just like this. I think they will have a hard time with conquest buyers. Slade is the undisputed king and if you want to gain share, you either need a unequivocally superior product or more competitive pricing and this is neither.
The Escalade is more costlier at higher trims. The new QX80 would be more appealing for people who prefer a value option.
Umm, the QX80 STARTS at 82, just like the slade. A value proposition would be if the QX80 in a high trim was 82. Its not. Existing QX owners will likely stick with the brand. Existing slade owners will not switch to a “lesser” perceived brand like the QX at the same price point.
Beat the drums, they just keep coming. Wagoneer, Lincoln, Europe, now Japan. Stack the dominoes and watch.
Cadillac doesn’t need to worry. Lincoln on the other hand is so far behind and the QX will surpass the outdated Navigator in sales. Lincoln announced that it will delay bringing out anything new and fresh for a few years. Sounds similar to what was done to Mercury. The QX design makes a statement.
The QX80 had outsold the Navigator before then too.
Infinite is not even in same class as Cadillac
There are a few Nissan loyalists in the US but most Nissan buyers are going after the most features at a lower price point. This won’t challenge the major selling brands.
