2025 Chevy Equinox Won’t Offer These Two Paint Colors

GM pulled the sheets on the 2025 Chevy Equinox back in January, unveiling the crossover’s all-new fourth generation, complete with new styling, an overhauled interior, new safety tech, and the new Activ trim level. In addition, the 2025 Chevy Equinox paint options list will differ from that of the preceding 2024 model year, with two paint colors deleted, specifically Harvest Bronze Metallic (paint code GXN) and Riptide Blue Metallic (paint code GJV). These two hues will be indirectly replaced by Cacti Green (paint code GVR) and Reef Metallic (paint code currently unavailable).

Notably, Harvest Bronze Metallic was subsequently built out for the 2024 model year, as GM Authority covered previously.

These include several contrasting roof options, with many of the body colors available to pair with either a Mosaic Black Metallic roof (paint code GB8) or Summit White roof (paint code GAZ). 1. Why is this being reposted for the 5th time? But, good riddance to the 2 deletions. Both are atrocious.

    1. The site runners need to keep us engaged and commenting. For those who didn’t see the first article, we have this reminder.

I am digging Cacti Green on my ’24 Trax. I have gotten a good bit of compliments on the color. I am reserving judgement on Reef until I see it, at least in photos. A more informed opinion on it will come with live video, and finally an in-person survey.

In playing with Chevy’s ’25 Equinox site, choosing colors, I like the Cacti Green in monotone and with the black roof. I also like the red with white roof, it is striking in a different way, and I am not a red guy. The Reef looks good, but I’ve learnt over the years that these CGI are not good informers. A realtime look is required to form a final judgment.

  2. I would have thought that the Richard Petty Blue would appeal to a lot of buyers – – mainly because it is not one of the dull, ugly grey shades that manufacturers tend to use (overuse). I am pleasantly surprised that some car builders are starting to go with 2-tone paint schemes (almost like back in the 1950s).

  3. Crazy to think Nox platform is a modernized Delta that underpinned Cruze, Verano and Astra.

  4. I like the blue color to bad it’s going away I do get tired of seeing black, white, silver almost all the time what about forest green, or bright red Ford has this 70s jade green color man was that cool looking GM two back then all the colors you wanted 50 plus years ago my uncle once had a 74 Cadillac in a gold color that look nice the great thing was the interior matched your paint color with real wood trim not some stick on vinyl or shiny plastic garbage.
