The 2025 Buick Envista introduces the second model year for the first-gen, U.S.-spec Envista crossover, ushering in a few important updates and changes. Among these is a revised exterior paint options list, which now includes one new color. The new paint option indirectly replaces one color no longer offered for the 2025 model year.
The new color offered for the 2025 Buick Envista is called Aquamarine Blue Metallic, and is tagged with paint code GKN. Photos of the new hue are currently unavailable. Aquamarine Blue Metallic indirectly replaces Sunrise Red Metallic (paint code GMF), which was dropped for the 2025 model year.
Aquamarine Blue Metallic will be available for the 2025 Buick Envista in conjunction with the Sport Touring trim only, and can only be matched to the Ebony seats with Santorini Blue stitching interior colorway. Aquamarine Blue Metallic is also an extra-charge color option. There are other paint color changes as well, as Copper Ice Metallic (G98) will no longer be available on the Sport Touring trim, while White Frost Tricoat (GP5) will be available on the Avenir trim level only.
Notably, the 2025 Buick Encore GX will also offer Aquamarine Blue Metallic paint, with the new hue once again indirectly replacing Sunrise Red Metallic. With regard to the Buick Encore GX lineup, Aquamarine Blue Metallic will only be available for the 2025 Encore GX Sport Touring trim as an extra-cost option.
Per previous GM Authority coverage, the 2025 Buick Envista will also debut a new E85-compatible engine. Tagged with RPO code LBP, the new turbocharged 1.2L three-cylinder matches the outgoing turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine in terms of output, with both powerplants rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. However, the new turbocharged 1.2L I3 LBP gasoline engine will be flex-fuel capable. To note, the LBP engine will only be available in new 2025 Buick Envista models sold in the U.S., and will not be available in those units sold in Canada.
As a reminder, the Buick Envista rides on top of the GM VSS-F platform. Production of the upcoming 2025 model year is scheduled to get under way at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea in May.

This emerging next-generation of Buicks is “exceptionally” Pathetic.
“Exceptionally” WRONG. This next gen of Buicks is exciting, techy and well designed and built. Awesome Buick! Keep bringing us great vehicles.
Is this article a copy/paste from a month or two ago? It’s like deja vu for me for some reason. Or was that an article on the Trax maybe?
GMA does a lot of cut and paste articles. I believe the journalists have a quota.
I won’t miss the Sunrise Red metallic color. Buick can also get rid of Copper Ice metallic as well. What’s the good of announcing a replacement color when we cannot see what that color is?? My wife’s first car was a 1966 Pontiac LeMans 2 door coupe. It was painted in Marina Turquoise and it was beautiful. Maybe this new Marina metallic will be similar.
With GM management and especially their marketing, there is no telling.. they don’t seem to have even a clue as to how to do their jobs…?
I happen to like this color on a Buick especially with the black wheels, grill and black trim! Say what you want but IMO GM is doing great right now they are selling more from each brand then they have since the 1990s, yes they are having teething problems with their EV cars and trucks but at least they are working on fixing what’s wrong not like in the 80s where GM didn’t give a damn if your engine blew up or how about this I remember way back when we had a UPS truck at work with the GM 4.3 liter V6 I went to turn it off and the ignition key came out of its slot on the steering column and the engine was still running…it took GM years to fix this I think they finally recalled it under immense pressure…do IMO the newer GM recalling what’s wrong is better then waiting almost a decade to fix things. One more thing these photos don’t do the Buick design justice I saw an encore GX the other day with new front end and I love it it’s classy looking without being over done with lights everywhere flashy grill the interiors are also finally updated!
Sunday I got to see the Envista in person, up close for the first time. It’s a gorgeous vehicle from 3 sides. That front end for me is hard to take. The color was a shade of blue that was unique and eye catching. Not sure I’ll replace my ’19 Encore for this, but it has appeal for sure.
