2024 GMC Acadia Elevation Black Edition In Summit White: Live Photo Gallery

The 2024 GMC Acadia got its big debut last September at the 2023 Detroit Auto Show, introducing the crossover’s all-new third generation. Updates include larger exterior dimensions, new styling, an overhauled cabin, and a wealth of tech features, not to mention a new engine. Now, GM Authority has caught the 2024 GMC Acadia Elevation Black Edition in Summit White paint, as seen in the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.

Caught out and about on public roads, this 2024 GMC Acadia looks to be an example of the Elevation trim level, offered as the new base model in the third-gen Acadia trim level lineup. This particular example is finished in Summit White paint (paint code GAZ), and incorporates a black grille, black mirror caps, and black wheels. All of these black body pieces indicate that this particular 2024 GMC Acadia is equipped with the Black Edition package (RPO code WPB).

This is particularly notable given there are currently no official images of the new Acadia in the base-level Elevation trim on GMC’s media website or consumer websites. Compared to the Acadia AT4 and Acadia Denali, the new Acadia Elevation incorporates a much simpler design, with an all-black lower fascia and black wheel well liners. Set against the Summit White body, the black trim bits add to the stark styling.

This particular example also lacks “Acadia” and “Elevation” badging on the doors and liftgate, which implies that it is likely a pre-production unit. Another odd detail is the half-chrome / half-black window trim, as compared to the all-black trim equipped by the Acadia AT4, and the all-chrome trim equipped by the Acadia Denali. It’s possible that this half-and-half trim approach may be unique to the 2024 GMC Acadia Elevation.

The 2024 GMC Acadia Elevation starts at $43,995, including destination. Check out our full pricing breakdown for more information. The Black Edition package is $2,200.

As a reminder, the 2024 GMC Acadia cradles the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, which mates to the GM eight-speed automatic transmission as standard. The GM C1 platform provides the underpinnings, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant.

  1. Better looking than its lot mate, the Enclave. More Professional. An Elevation, even without black pack, looks just fine to me. If only GMC had a wider colour palette (blue, red, and grayscale, really?)… but I guess when Jeep Grand Cherokee only comes in like 5 colors, why bother?

  2. No love for this. When we replace our Acadia wee I’ll have to find something new.

    1. Why? Too big?

      1. No need for larger and not liking the look of the extra length. At least the Cadillac hides the length better and looks better. But it is not worth the cost.

If we needed the space we would have a Chevy but we don’t.

      2. No it’s not they made it bigger because people want it

  3. Really hard to get around the Chrysler Pacifica rear end I really have no clue whats going on at GM, seems to me this is what happens when you make a company about politics. A bunch of nok car people designing cars simply for the pay check and have 0 passion for thr brand. If we still had hardcore GM die hards at the helm, we woulf have a real Blazer, Envoy, Tailblazers, SS sedans and coupes, ect. Now we either get over priced EVs and junk for the masses just disappointing.

  4. Am I looking at a Honda Pilot with a GMC badge??

  5. I really dislike the black plastic surround around the rear windshield and taillights. They’re trying to mask the giant d-pillar by extending this faux window/plastic on the side. What I don’t get is, why is the d-pillar so massive in the first place?

  6. UGLY. Say “Goodbye GM”. Haven’t we had enough of the black wheel, police car, commercial vehicle look?

    1. I’ve been saying that for the longest time. The white/black combination looks generic and cheap, like a rental unit – on any vehicle.

  7. This gives me hope for the new enclave, the press pictures of the Acadia looked cool but these pics look bad

    1. Eric, I was thinking the exact same thing! Gotta feeling we’ll be pleasantly surprised with the Enclave.

  9. I would have been interested in the new Acadia as my lease on my 2021 SLT is coming to an end, but 2 things killed it for me…one, I don’t need the larger size–the current model is perfect for what I need. Two, not having a V6 available is a deal breaker for me. So, I’m buying mine off lease and hope when the time comes for a new vehicle, GMC will have something that will work for me.

    1. So not having the option of a less powerful and peaky V6 is a deal breaker? Ok….

      Reply
      1. It is for me…the V6 has been very reliable. I’m not interested in testing out the new 2.5L 4 turbo. The V6 has plenty of power for me…my original comment stated what my preferences are…you are certainly entitled to have your own.

  10. Sad underpowered engine. Bring back the option to get a better engine. This is like giving a guy at a bar a sippy cup.

    1. Underpowered? It has more HP and way more torque than the V6 which was far from underpowered. This should be a sweet little engine based off the 2.7 that reviews well. Go troll somewhere else…

      1. Not a troll, you curmudgeon. ALL 4-cyl are noisy/whiney. Turbo’s have Lag. Nobody said anything about the previous v6. Bring a more modern v6 or even a V8 option for this heavy weight of a vehicle. 2.7 is perfectly acceptable if you like AVERAGE and use it to pick up groceries. Many of us like more juice in our “utility” vehicles.

Why do you need to push your weak needs onto others. I asked for an upgrade OPTION for those that require more utility in their utility vehicle.

        1. I mean, they do have an upgrade option if you need/want more utility in your utility vehicle, the Yukon.

We have a 2021 with the V6, and while I like it, it is rather noisy under even moderate acceleration. Nothing we can’t live with, but if noisy is a complaint, the current V6 isn’t a great answer. My mother-in-law has a 2021 Envision with the 2.0 Turbo and I think it is probably quieter. I can tell you my wife finds it “sportier” to drive than her Acadia for what that is worth.

She has zero interest in the new Acadia due to the larger size, but it won’t be because of the 4 cylinder. She could care less as long as it drove okay to her and that will be most buyers. You will need to drive it first to decide if it is okay or not, power/noise wise.

          1. That’s a completely different vehicle. Giving people an option for naturally aspirated more powerful engine should be a no brainer, instead of forcing mediocrity. There are other reasons not to go Yukon.. but you should always offer options.

            Reply
            1. From a consumer stand point, yes, options are great. Not sure how much of a business case you could make, particularly given these are not enthusiast vehicles where consumers are looking for more powerful options. Most vehicles seem to have gone to only offering one engine option. It absolutely adds cost for the manufacturer to offer another option. It makes more sense to offer one competitive engine. Clearly many hear want nothing to do with a turbo 4 anything. Time will tell if enough consumers agree or don’t agree.

  11. 2200 bucks to slap on black paint to formally painted or chromed parts. What a waste of money. It makes it look like the bottom of the barrel cheapest model and ruins the looks. I much prefer the current smaller version as I would have zero need for this huge size. It also adds weight and reduced mileage and handling.

  12. Hope the 2025 Chevy Blazer is available with the 2.5 ICE and doesn’t get lost to battery power. Have a 2019 Equinox with the 2.0 T, very pleased with performance and economy

  13. I was hoping the new design would look like a smaller Yukon with a tough boxy look, but its doesn’t. I’m sure it will be a great family hauler with tons of room, but it’s not for me.

    1. I was hoping for the same thing too, but it looks like a larger Terrain, which I was fearing. It’s not bad, but the design could have been better executed. GMCs usually look boxier and more rugged than the Chevy version, but the Traverse has it beat.

  14. O MY you people on here are such children just order the model and trim you want you don’t have to be forced into getting black plastic if you don’t want it but it’s nice there is a choice for people who like it. And it’s not at all a bad looking vehicle I evenike the fact that’s it’s a 4 cylinder turbo now with more juice! Bottom line and my point if you don’t like it then don’t by it but please don’t try to deter other people from buying it with your nothing but negative comments… everyone is entitled to their own opinion stop trying to convince people to buy another brand if you like Ford then you should be on Ford authority not GM authority TROLLING! Me I like GM vehicles so I check out GM authority every day to see what’s new not to bash every single thing that GM comes out with!
