The 2024 GMC Acadia broke cover late last year, ushering in the crossover’s all-new third generation, which is considerably larger than its predecessor. Recently, GM Authority spotted the Acadia Elevation on the road for the first time, showing off its Summit White paint. Now, we’ve acquired some new photos of the 2024 Acadia Elevation Black Edition, this time sporting a coat of Sterling Metallic.
As a reminder, 2024 GMC Acadia Elevation is the new base model for the third-gen crossover. This particular crossover’s cool gray hue is known as Sterling Metallic (paint code GXD), which is a carryover color for the 2024 model year, available on all Acadia trim levels. Its black grille, black mirror caps, 22-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels (RPO code RVH), and “Elevation” script badges are all part of the new Black Edition package (RPO WPB), which is exclusively offered on Elevation models.
Another interesting detail seen on this GMC Acadia Elevation is the half-chrome, half-black finish on the daylight opening (DLO) trim around the side windows. Comparatively, the Acadia AT4 gets all-black trim, while the Acadia Denali features chrome trim all around. This half-blacked-out DLO trim may be unique to the 2024 GMC Acadia Elevation.
Considering that there are currently no official images of the new Acadia in the base-level Elevation trim on GMC’s media website or consumer websites, the photos of this vehicle are particularly notable. Compared to the Acadia AT4 and Acadia Denali, the new Acadia Elevation has a less complicated exterior design and features an all-black lower fascia and black wheel well liners.
As a reminder, the 2024 GMC Acadia harnesses the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, which bolts to the GM eight-speed automatic transmission. The GM C1 platform underpins the crossover, and production is handled at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant. Pricing for the 2024 GMC Acadia Elevation starts at $43,995, including destination and freight charges. The Black Edition package adds $2,200.

Manufacturers (all of them!) love it when customers line up to pay more for a trim package that costs much less to manufacture.
I like the looks of this one but would be happy to choose an Elevation WITHOUT the black package. $2200 is $2200!
Well, its called a business for reason
The side profile of this one looks a LOT worse than the model shown at intro, which I loved. Dare I say it, but this one screams “New Enclave”. Looks like the Traverse will be the looker.
it looks cheap, like a gov’t vehicle.
The anonymity of the new Enclave and this Acadia are so disappointing. The Traverse is the only “looker” in the trio and that’s weird considering it used to be the ugliest of the three.
That’s because the traverse is now a crossover Tahoe whereas gmc didn’t make this a smaller Yukon… it didn’t help when they put the wrong taillights on and still use body cladding.
GM has clearly given up or run out of styling ideas. The new Enclave and Acadia are boring, anonymous and forgettable. The company is either holding designers back or the designers are out of ideas. Both vehicles could be Nissans, Toyotas, Hondas, Kias, and nobody would be the wiser.
If you blacked out the GMC logo on the front and just showed this picture to 100 people, I bet at least 90 of them would guess it’s a Honda or Toyota or Kia or Nissan.
Sad.
Look like a min Van. Should be boxier than this
Don’t care for the side profile. The current version looks more cohesive. The overpriced black out package just makes it worse
Looks a lot like the Buick Enclave from the Grille back to the D pillar
Those are 20s not 22s that are on the black edition package. We had a ’24 Denali at our store yesterday w/22s for about 8 hours on display and it’s definitely a lot nicer in person, granted it’s the Denali trim but again it’s a lot nicer in person.
Any word on when the build and price for the Acadia comes out?
Them trying to have 3 vehicles with the same doors and windows is why only one looks decent. Apparently they didn’t learn from the Tahoe triplets they stopped using the same doors years ago so designers could differentiate the models more. Although CUV owners are different from someone buying a Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade tho
What’s with all the black vinyl wheel well lips? They sure make the wheel opening look bigger and out of proportion, making the tires look smaller. Design Center has lost its way. This is not an off-road vehicle like they are trying to make them all look. The 2025 Equinox has some black vinyl wheel openings. No, thank you.
looks like a Pacifica from the back
Well I have to agree, I sawr a new Pacifica parked on the street yesterday evening, and lo and behold…
Almost all vehicles, no matter brand, are starting to look the same, been happening for years as 3rd party parts suppliers provide economy of scale by selling the same grill, headlights and taillights and tweaking just the area where the brand logo lays.
Just bought a 2023 Acadia AT4. Got tired of waiting for the new one to come out and wanted to get a V6 while they are still offered. Also, not a fan of the 7K+ markup for the 2024 models vs the current gen.
