The 2024 Chevy Traverse ushers in the crossover’s all-new third generation, bringing with it a long list of updates and changes, including a new exterior design, a new interior, and a new engine. Now, interested customers can spec the 2024 Chevy Traverse using the official configurator tool at Chevrolet’s website.
Customers have four trim levels to choose from, including the entry-level LS, the mid-range LT, the off-roading Z71, and the sporty RS. Pricing starts at $38,995, including $1,395 for the destination freight charge.
A total of eight exterior paint options are on the table, with color availability dependent on the trim level selected. Two of the eight exterior paint colors are offered for an extra charge, including Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (paint code G1W, $995) and Radiant Red Tintcoat (paint code GNT, $495).
A variety of different factory options for added comfort and convenience are also offered, such as the Enhanced Driving Package, which is tagged with RPO code Y5T and includes the Rear Camera Mirror feature, GM Super Cruise driver assistance technology, Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, Driver Attention Assist, and a 10-speaker Bose Premium Audio system. Pricing for the Enhanced Driving Package ranges between $3,075 and $3,755, depending on the trim level selected, and is offered for LT, Z71, and RS.
Other standout options include a Panoramic Sunroof (RPO code CAJ, $1,500) and the Midnight / Sport Edition package (RPO code WJU, $1,785), the latter of which includes High Gloss Black upper door moldings and 20-inch high Gloss Black painted aluminum wheels. The eight-passenger seating configuration is standard on LS, and offered at no extra charge on LT.
As for the mechanical specs, the 2024 Chevy Traverse cradles the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine as standard, rated at a maximum of 328 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 326 pound-feet of torque at 3,500 rpm. The GM C1 platform provides the underpinnings, while vehicle production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

Not sure why you even need the configuator. They don’t give you any real choices other than paint color.
The lack of options is disappointing. Especially interior colors.
Wish this would have come out a few weeks ago before we ordered a new RS.. A loaded up LT with the sport package would have been just fine (had a better-looking interior) and saved us $6k.
Good Evening, Everyone,
I read even after orders are placed, some may not receive their vehicle until November 2024.
I really think they should shave some of the pricing off this 2024 New Redesigned Model (without taking away or diluting quality and originally announced features of the vehicle). Because the year will be almost over by the time most people get their hands on the vehicle. At best, it will be June or after June, which is not reflective of the high sticker price consumers will be paying and immediate drastic decrease in value compared to competitors with their 2024 line-up already released and on the roads.
nice to finally be able to click through this on your own and not deal with the back and forth with the dealership. Configured an LT with super cruise, sunroof, and evotex seats for under $50k. Given all the standard features it should be a good value in the segment if drive and build quality are up to snuff. Just wish they would call it a 2025. That is the only value losing proposition buying a new model this late in the model year cycle.
Plates and insurance would be higher on a 2025. I’m fine with 2024 personally.
That engine with a hybrid system would be damn near excellent with a ~28mpg combined rating
The Chinese get the hybrid version as of now.
The new Traverse is already on sale in CHI NA? Or Equinox?
$1,000 for fake leather on the Z71. Yikes.
Given the choice I would take fake over real. Barely any upkeep, much more durable when done right and can be made soft and supple and durable without spending an arm and a leg. Plus, better for the environment. The softex seats in the Toyotas are really nice, no wear marks or issues over 100k miles. I am a fan, though I prefer cloth myself.
All this reminds me my GTO needs some leather conditioner, it has been a while…
No issue with that preference. It is just ridiculous to charge so much for a material that does not command the premium.
Manufactures will charge whatever the buyer will pay. People are lining up to pay a grand for fake leather. Can’t blame the manufacturer for that.
It’s the only decent looking one though
Well many people are going to pay $1785 to paint the wheels and grille black so why not a grand for vinyl seats with a fancy name.
I like how the z71 looks
51.5k you can get this with tech package . Not terrible . The z71 is the only id get . No need spend 56k or more for the top trim 2.5l should do enough for the beach
Put a diesel in them
When are they releasing the EPA MPG (gas performance) information? Because that is a deciding factor vis-à-vis other competitors.
Quick trip. Not many choices to make. Color availability is meager. At least you can get a dark or light interior on the LT, otherwise, it is positively Jeep-like in the color availability department. You want purple? ( I say this because it is the only memorable hue available.) PONY UP to a high dollar trim.
Chevrolet dropped the ball on this updated Traverse. It’s really not that appealing. The back end doesn’t seem to mesh with the front, and boring wheels on top of that.
Why is the choice of wheels so lacking?
I’ve seen a photo of an LT with a non-black wheel other than the two choices shown in the configurator. It was a good looking wheel, not sure wha happun. Maybe the configurator is incomplete.
Just not feeling this new trio. The Traverse is okay but the other two are a step or two down with the Buick version the worst. It’s odd that the LT is the only way to get a different interior color but that is restricted to the base cloth material as the Evotex is black only as is the base LT. There really needs to be a Premier trim level with several interior color choices so hopefully that comes for 2025. And for goodness sakes fix the wheels. The LS and LT or are okay but the only option is a huge 20″ black rim. There should be a nice machine faced version too. Speaking of machine faced that should been the wheel on the RS with the all black an option only. The Z71 also needs a better looking more premium wheel option like they do on the Silverado pickups. The pricing on the LS and LT is okay but gets too high on the blacked out RS which should not be the case.
I’ll be keeping my 22 Traverse Premier in Sterling Silver Metallic. I just can’t see getting rid of it for this new model.
When can we get the new 2024 Traverse or preorder it from our local dealership?
Contact your local Chevy dealer. Orders opened up months ago.
And now the million dollar question…does it still support Android Auto and Apple Carplay projection?
It comes with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
I read on the Specifications article on this website that someone mentioned: no Memory Power Seats on the 2024 Chevy Traverse.
Wooww, no Memory Power Seats on 2024 Chevy Traverse !? Can someone please confirm this statement, if accurate?
I’m not sure why a family-style 3-row midsize SUV would not offer Memory Seating. Typically not just 1 person drives a family SUV in the house.
My 2014 Nissan Maxima (10 years prior) has Memory Power Seats. That would be a shame.
Uh well, you can bet memory seats will be available on the Premiere trim, which is not out yet, but has been previewed here.
That is odd that RS and Z71 wouldn’t come standard with Memory Seats, with the option to add it in LT and the other base model
…also, if the website is up for vehicle configurations, i don’t think Premier is intended for 2024 (maybe 2025, if that is actually a plan of theirs)
Zooming in on the RS interior, it appears to have memory seat buttons despite not being mentioned in the specs. The Z71 does not appear to have those same buttons, which is extremely disappointing for a $50k+ vehicle (in addition to a manual passenger seat). I’m still debating whether it ticks me off enough to wait for a Premier in 2025 or just suck it up. I can’t stand the RS interior so went with Z71 for now but am reconsidering (I still don’t love the Z71 red highlights but it is less gaudy than the RS in my opinion).
My guess is you’ll be happier if you wait for the 25 Premier. That’s what I’m doing. You’ll probably regret it if you don’t. Only you know that answer. From what I’ve seen, the 25 Premier has a much nicer front clip. Plus it’ll come with all the bells and whistles. And most likely, decent wheels.
KC, I hope you’re correct about the memory seats. We ordered an RS on January 6th and it’s due to be delivered on July 3rd. I want the memory seat so badly. You would think that in a vehicle with heated and air-cooled leather seats that the memory component would be part of the package.
Can confirm that memory seats are part of the RS package for sure. Rest easy!
What are your honest thoughts on the new Traverse KC?
– Quality Build, or rushed?
– Quality, Robust / Durable parts?
– Engine Quality and Reliability?
I’m asking because I’m reading quite a few consumer reports about issues already, to include Transmission issue.
Anyone else who is well versed on the vehicle can also chime in and enlighten us.
I liked the RS Red Traverse,, still do,, just tired of all the crap that comes with it. I had a red RS on order since January 2024. Paid $500 down to hold order. I Had order number, ViN, and in transit since March. It arrived Early June, dealer called said it was ready for me to come get it. The next morning my dealer called and said there is a recall on my vehicle so they can’t sell it yet. Transmission issues, unknown fix or timeframe. Today, June 26, still no update from GM on when my dealer will get the parts or when/if I can purchase. I’m done! Called my dealer and told them I’ll wait until 2025 to see IF GM gets their Sh..t together. Lost my deposit but got my insanity back and stress is gone. I’ll look at other 3rd row SUV’s now.
I see a lot of comments about Tires and Seat colors. Does anyone happen to know any accurate info about MPG numbers?
It’s not available yet from Chevy nor the EPA.
most Pre-pics & videos show that the wheel wells are the High Gloss black. But the web site and most current pics show the flat black wheel wells? Asking in reference to the 2024 RS in Red.
I went to order a new z71
Dealership said sunroof was not available and could not tell me how long before that comes available. Anyone else have this problem?
I have spoken to 5 dealers in my area,, most are as clueless as we are. They didn’t know the build & price configuration was on the web site yet, they have no delivery dates on allocation “possibilities “, and know very little about the final production builds or options. I did reach out to GM Chevy.com for updates or confirmation on options,, their response was,,” you will need to reach out to your local dealer for any updates or information”. DUH-shameful for Chevy!
Does anyone have a delivery date yet?
I just saw my scheduled to be built date updated to 4/15/2024, which is exciting. Mine may be a bit different though as it’s a part of a Fleet order.
Joe do you have any update?
Unfortunately, no. GM/Chevy is really messing this one up.
I finally got a VIN assigned! Which is a good sign. Still no update on when it will ship. Looks like they are all still parked at the moment.
well thats progress I guess.
Another update, they are apparently shipping/in-transit. It looks like possibly 1-2 weeks to hit some dealers (I’ve been told 5/20 at the latest). My Traverse is a fleet order though, which is usually handled quite differently.
Idk what GM and / or Chevy are doing! Most other brands have their brands on the road already, and at very least in dealerships and in the hands of YouTubers. However, 0 communication or promising updates for 2024 Chevy Traverse
Yeah, I think new leadership is desperately needed at GM! Embarrassing for a US company!
Joe Did you order base model or RS? I dont have any update from my dealer yet
Hey NW, it’s a fleet order for about 10 – Traverses with the (2) LS package. We actually have 2-3 that have arrived at the dealer so far. Sounds like transit times are holding pretty true. I’m hoping mine will arrive in next week.
I’m also wondering when they’ll be delivered? Mine is built, but sitting.
Will the RS and LT trim options offer 8-seater option, if someone does not one standard captain seats?
I have been waiting for this since it was announced a year ago. I cant understand how this is a 2024 model and they wont be available until beginning of June. Other brands already have the 2025 models available for purchase. This will cause much faster depreciation. Unfortunately I’m going to have to go with another manufacturer.
That is true! 2025 Ford Explorer has already been revealed and might be out already. Worst part is there seems to be 0 communication from GM and Chevrolet to both consumers and dealerships.
I stopped by a dealership yesterday and both Sales Rep and Manager were clueless on delivery time and updates. They said they have not been informed of anything either.
My local dealer in Florida sez that the EPA has released and certified the 2024 Traverse models and they will start shipping Friday April 19. Anyone else heard this?
That would be awesome! Fingers crossed!!
Unless it’s fresh fresh new information release on the EPA (MPG numbers), I think Chevrolet would’ve updated their website already to reflect that?
Side note, I really think this vehicle should’ve been V6 engine with slightly improved MPG.
