The 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 ushers in the a few important changes and updates, dropping in as the sixth model year for the latest fourth-gen pickup truck. Notably, GM Authority has learned that the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500’s Harvest Bronze Metallic paint option has been built out for the 2024 model year. It’s unclear at this time if Harvest Bronze Metallic paint will return for the 2025 model year.
Harvest Bronze Metallic is tagged with paint code GXN and was initially introduced to the Chevy Silverado 1500 lineup in conjunction with the 2023 model year. Harvest Bronze Metallic was offered as one of three new-for-2023 colors alongside Radiant Red Tintcoat and Sterling Gray Metallic.
As GM Authority covered previously, the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 is no longer available in Glacier Blue Metallic (paint code GLT) as well. Additionally, Lakeshore Blue Metallic (paint code GXP) is no longer available on RST trim levels. With Harvest Bronze Metallic and Glacier Blue Metallic no longer offered, the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 paint lineup is now limited to the following options (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):
- Black (GBA)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Sterling Gray Metallic (GXD)
- Dark Ash Metallic (G6M)
- Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (G1W)
- Red Hot (G7C)
- Summit White (GAZ)
- Lakeshore Blue Metallic (GXP)
- Slate Gray Metallic (GNO)
Among these paint options, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat and Radiant Red Tintcoat are the only colors offered for an extra charge, with Iridescent Pearl Tricoat offered for an extra $995, and Radiant Red Tintcoat available for an extra $495.
Beyond the paint, the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 is now available with the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, rated at 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. The rest of the Silverado 1500 engine lineup includes the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine. The L3B gasoline engine adopts the TurboMax branding in conjunction with the 2024 model year.
As for the underpinnings, the GM T1 platform provides the bones, while production takes place at the GM Fort Wayne plant in Indiana, the GM Oshawa plant in Canada, and the GM Silao plant in Mexico.

No more Dried Baby Poo. . .er, Harvest Bronze? My day is ruined!

Did they even build any? I liked the color but have never seen one in the wild.
I have seen one in person.
I had really high hopes for the color, but GM missed the mark. As rendered, it looked like it might be a really neat color, but as others have mentioned, it really does look like poop tone in person.
I happen to like the color a lot – partially because I’m one of thew few people with the color, makes it unique. On a 24 LTZ Z71 1500.
I saw a truck with this paint and it really was nice.
I tried ordering a LTZ last week in this color and got the order kicked back. I saw one with the black package which looked great. I cancelled the order. I am not paying that much money and settling for a color I do not want. White, Black, and short beds. It’s like a school of fish out there on the lots.
