The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV will soon have the new Blackout Package (RPO code PCH) added to its list of available options, offered exclusively on the 2LT trim with no pricing details currently known.
The Blackout Package will be offered as an LPO or dealer-installed option for the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV. Various elements of the appearance package are shown in this article.
The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV Blackout Package includes the following content (RPO codes in parenthesis):
- Front and rear Black Bow Tie emblems (SFZ)
- Black nameplates (RIK)
- 22-inch Gloss Black wheels (SF2)
The electric crossover is also going to offer the Black Illumination Package (RPO code PCL), a somewhat similar appearance package that includes an illuminated front Bow Tie emblem. The Black Illumination Package is also an LPO or dealer-installed package and has also not yet had pricing details released.
The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV was recently subject to a stop-sale order from GM related to significant software issues. The problems affected the stability of vehicle software and in some cases made charging the battery more difficult. In mid-March, The General released several software updates that corrected the issues for affected crossovers.
GM also changed suppliers for several minor components of the Chevy Blazer EV battery, enabling the crossover to qualify for the U.S. EV tax credit of up to $7,500 again. Back in December 2023, the vehicle lost eligibility because those components were manufactured by a geopolitical rival of America, under updated Treasury Department guidance.
Now the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is back on sale with a significant cut to its price. The vehicle is motivated by GM Ultium Drive motors, which draw energy from GM Ultium batteries. The maximum GM-estimated range is 320 miles from a full charge for certain models. The most powerful variant, the forthcoming SS trim, will deliver peak 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet of torque, with a zero to 60 mph time of less than four seconds with the Wide Open Watts (WOW) acceleration setting active.
The Blazer EV uses the GM BEV3 platform for structure under the body panels. Production of the model is currently taking place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

I thought the Blackout Package was referencing all the screens on the dash!
This type is package (and as a stand alone option) is the only time black rims should be offered. A machine faced rim with different colors creates contrast and depth, all black rims creates a empty looking wheel well. They actually got this right (besides only offering it in a 21″) on the Blazer EV RS but they screwed up on the Equinox EV RS, all black rims. That too needs a machine-faced rim as standard on the RS (yes I know about the LT’s, many like RS package but don’t want the black rims) and offer a blackout package for those who really want black rims.
We need more pictures.
