The 2024 Cadillac CT5-V luxury performance sedan gets four new paint colors added to its available lineup, including Cyber Yellow Metallic, Velocity Red, Coastal Blue Metallic, and Black Diamond Tricoat. Here’s our first look at the new Velocity Red color.
Tagged with color code G7C and touch-up paint number WA-130X, Velocity Red is one of nine paint colors on offer for the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V, which include those listed below:
- Argent Silver Metallic
- Black Raven
- Midnight Steel Metallic
- Radiant Red Tintcoat
- Summit White
- Black Diamond Tricoat (new for 2024)
- Coastal Blue Metallic (new for 2024)
- Cyber Yellow Metallic (new for 2024)
- Velocity Red (new for 2024)
Velocity Red is an extra-charge color, priced at an additional $625 on the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V. The paint option is available with all three of the available interior colorways offered on the CT5-V for this model year.
For reference, the available interior colorways for the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V are as follows:
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents
- Whisper Beige with Jet Black accents
- Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black accents
As a reminder, the base price for the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V is $52,890 with the RWD drivetrain and $54,890 for AWD, per pricing info highlighted earlier by GM Authority. MSRP for the 2024 model year is $500 higher than it was for the 2023 model.
Power is supplied by a single engine choice, the twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGY gasoline engine rated at 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. The GM Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic transmission is mated to this engine to put the power to the pavement, while as noted, the performance sedan offers both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.
The additional power and sporty features of the CT5-V compared to the Cadillac CT5 marks it as a V-series variant. However, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing remains the marque’s top performer, leaving the CT5-V slotted into a moderate performance level between the basic CT5 and the track-ready, more powerful Blackwing.
The GM Alpha 2 platform provides the underpinnings for the Cadillac CT5-V. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. The Cadillac website currently hosts the official configurator tool for checking out various combinations of interior and exterior colors, options, accessories, and packages for the CT5-V.

I think that the darker red looks better on large luxury cars than the bright red.
My 1956 Corvette was also “Velocity Red”
I think the $625. charge for Velocity Red is nothing more than a stick-it-to-them markup on a paint job that
doesn’t command genuine extra cost.
It is not metallic.
It is not tintcoat.
It is not tricoat.
It’s red paint just like my C8 Torch Red at zero upcharge.
Thanks gm.
I ordered a V in Velocity Red last July. After 2 months they put that color on constraint and in January they pulled the color premanently for the 2024’s. I have a 2020 CT5 Sport in that color and have had more compliments on it than even my bright red Corvette and Camaro SS. If you want a black one, there are lots out there.
Dark green with dark brown interior please
