Four colors were dropped from the palette of the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing subcompact luxury sedan and five new exterior paints were added to the lineup, including Velocity Red, Cyber Yellow Metallic, Coastal Blue Metallic, Mercury Silver Metallic and Black Diamond Tricoat. Here’s our first look at the new Coastal Blue color.
Tagged with color code GJV and touch-up paint number WA-121J, Coastal Blue Metallic is one of ten paint colors available on the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, which include those listed below:
- Argent Silver Metallic
- Black Raven
- Midnight Steel Metallic
- Radiant Red Tintcoat
- Summit White
- Black Diamond Tricoat (new for 2024)
- Coastal Blue Metallic (new for 2024)
- Cyber Yellow Metallic (new for 2024)
- Mercury Silver Metallic (new for 2024)
- Velocity Red (new for 2024)
Coastal Blue Metallic is an extra-charge color, priced at an additional $625 on the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. The paint option is available in conjunction with all of the available interior colorways offered for the 2024 model year except those from the Mondrian special editions.
For reference, the available non-Mondrian interior colorways for the 2024Â Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing are as follows:
- Jet Black with Jet Black Accents
- Sangria with Jet Black Accents
- Natural Tan with Jet Black Accents
- Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black Accents
As a reminder, the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is part of the Cadillac V-Series Blackwing family of ultra high-performance models. The aforementioned Mondrian special editions are introduced with the 2024 model year and include the Impact Edition (RPO code ZLJ), the Arrival Edition (RPO code ZLK) which is exclusively painted with Mercury Silver Metallic, and the Elevation Edition (RPO code ZLR).
Each of the Mondrian special editions commemorates a different part of Cadillac motorsports heritage, featuring unique interior and exterior details along with specific exterior colors, including the exclusive Mercury Silver Metallic of the Arrival Edition mentioned above. The packages are priced at $22,000 and are limited to 66 vehicles for each of the three editions. As GM Authority previously detailed when we revealed the CT4-V Blackwing pricing, this is on top of the $62,890 starting MSRP.
Motivation for the CT4-V Blackwing is provided by a single available engine choice, the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. A rear-wheel drivetrain is standard.
Under the skin, the CT4-V Blackwing rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform. North American production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan, where the start of regular production (SORP) kicked off in July 2023.

Sangria with black accents is NOT available on the CT4-V Black Wing. It is only available on the CT4-V. Coastal Blue is VERY similar the Vector Blue, available on the the ATS-V and CTS-V from late 2016 through 2018, I believe. It is just a touch lighter, but barely, and it’s also a tiny bit more green in hue, but again, just barely. Should be very pretty on the car. I get lots of compliments on my ’17 ATS-V in Vector Blue.
