2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Gets New Black Diamond Tricoat Paint: First Look

Five new colors, including Velocity Red, Cyber Yellow Metallic, Coastal Blue Metallic, Mercury Silver Metallic and Black Diamond Tricoat, have been added to the lineup of the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing subcompact performance sedan to replace four other colors dropped from the lineup. Here’s our closer look at the new Black Diamond Tricoat.

Black Diamond Tricoat is identified by color code GLK and touch-up paint number WA-815T. It is one of the ten available paint colors for the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, all of which are listed below:

  • Argent Silver Metallic
  • Black Raven
  • Midnight Steel Metallic
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat
  • Summit White
  • Black Diamond Tricoat (new for 2024)
  • Coastal Blue Metallic (new for 2024)
  • Cyber Yellow Metallic (new for 2024)
  • Mercury Silver Metallic (new for 2024)
  • Velocity Red (new for 2024)

Priced at $1,995, the Black Diamond Tricoat paint color is an additional charge option for the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. It can be ordered in conjunction with all interior CT4-V Blackwing colorways offered for 2024, except for Mondrian special edition colorways.

Black Diamond Tricoat has very limited availability, but has been offered on Cadillac special editions here and there over the years. It is only offered on V-Series models.

As a reminder, the non-Mondrian interior colorways offered for the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing include:

  • Jet Black with Jet Black Accents
  • Sangria with Jet Black Accents
  • Natural Tan with Jet Black Accents
  • Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black Accents

As a reminder, the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing one of the high-performance models included in the Cadillac V-Series Blackwing family. The 2024 model year sees the launch of the Mondrian special editions, specifically the Impact Edition (RPO code ZLJ), the Arrival Edition (RPO code ZLK) which is exclusively painted with Mercury Silver Metallic, and the Elevation Edition (RPO code ZLR).

Each Mondrian Edition is a salute to a different aspect of Cadillac motorsports history, with unique interior and exterior details and the exclusive Mercury Silver Metallic offered on the Arrival Edition. Only 66 vehicles were built as Mondrian Edition sedans and cost an additional $22,000. This is added to the $62,890 starting MSRP of the standard CT4-V Blackwing.

The CT4-V Blackwing houses the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. A rear-wheel drivetrain is standard.

Under the skin, the CT4-V Blackwing is supported by the GM Alpha 2 platform. North American production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.

  4. Assuming it’s the same version of that paint on my XTS-V, it will be a nice addition. So much sparkle in the paint. Straight up glitter queen haha.
