General Motors is set to launch the all-new third-gen Buick Enclave crossover in conjunction with the 2025 model year, and, per tradition, the overhaul will include an exterior styling revamp with the Tri-Shield brand’s very latest design cues. Although GM has yet to unveil the new exterior styling, the automaker has provided a few hints as to what it might look like. Our spy photographers have also spotted a few prototype models out for testing, covered in camouflage. Now, we’re taking those hints and spy photos and running with them, creating the following exclusive GM Authority rendering.
Once again presenting a full-size, five-door body style, our 2025 Buick Enclave rendering is based on the second-generation model, but was reworked with the sleeker design cues expected from Buick’s next-gen models. That includes styling from GM design sketches, as well as cues pulled from the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision, with some Avenir-esque detailing for the flourish.
The front end incorporates thin, horizontally oriented upper lighting signatures that seem to pull back into the fenders, while vertical lighting surrounds are mounted lower in the bumper. The grille includes a diamond-shaped insert, as well as polished trim pieces around the corners.
The sleek styling continues into the rear, where the window line rises at a graceful angle towards the hatch. The rear end shows more graceful lines around the rear glass, while the lower bumper provides a nice bookend for the tweaks up front.
Finally, Buick’s new Tri-Shield logo is present and accounted for, finding a spot on the nose and tail of this next-gen rendering.
For readers who may have missed it, GM Authority has reported exclusive details on the 2025 Buick Enclave interior, which will feature a wide digital screen mounted on top of the dash. The new crossover will also equip the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine.
Look for an official debut this year.

Looks like the ’24 with the new Envision nose grafted on. Not elegant, extra ugly!
Looks extra beautiful to me!
You just made the 2024 Buick enclave… congratulations
This is good but for those who’ve seen it
1. The back pillar is different from current model
2. There is a chrome side vent venti port similar to new Lacrosse in China
3. Taillights look more Chinese lacrosse
I hope not!
Thank heavens they did not put an electric power plant in this car,,,,,! I will not buy a electric car, I have been driving BUICKs since 1958,,,,that is 66 years! Don’t make me switch.
Beachy29579 it’s extra ugly because GM authority grafted the front end of an encore GX and the rear end of a current enclave…this is probably not what it’s really going to look like we don’t know what to expect yet. This is why I don’t like rendering photos just wait until GM releases official photos!
UGH!!!
Hope they continue to offer their V6. I don’t have much faith in a four cylinder in a 4,000+ lb car. At least the V6 has cylinder deactivation. My 2018 gets close to 30MPG on the road.
Wait til you put a license plate in front of grill u
Most states now only require a license plate on the rear of vehicles.
GeorgeK the engine in the ‘25 Enclave puts out more horsepower and more torque than the V-6.
That’s right. I believe the numbers are like 325 HP and a similar amount of torque. No one likes 4 cylinders but they put out more torque than the V-6’s and can get slightly better gas mileage. Look what Mercedes Benz does with their 4 cylinder power plants! Since it is turbocharged it will require premium fuel for the best performance and fuel mileage.
I personally think that the render looks nice but you have to wait to see the actual car and see it in person. Photos cannot give you the three dimensional look of the vehicle. I have grown to like the new grille design, the new Buick logo which came from the shorthand that the designers used in their sketches of previous models, and I think the rear end looks better than before. The older rear just didn’t really look like it belonged anywhere and was very awkward.
If this rendering is any where close to reality, the Buick design team neglected the biggest downfall in the current model. The Big Flaw of Rear Window Visibility has been overlooked. As A Person that has owned Multiple Enclaves, the visibility Issue is why I am driving an Acadia. Looking for a New Vehicle now, and thinking that after 70 Plus GM Vehicles in my Lifetime it is time to change my allegiance….
It looks extra ordinary
Why did you render it? All Buicks look exactly the same. Crappy Hyundai front end with split headlamps and generic rear lights. Interior uses cheap cost cutting screens instead of buttons and knobs.
The render should’ve used the new Traverse or Acadia as a starting point at the very least. It’ll likely have the same general shape as both of those. Since everyone is going for a more squared-off, truck-like, rugged look, I highly doubt it’s going to be rounded and bulbous like the current model. At any rate, can’t wait to see the real thing as this could very well be the wife’s next vehicle.
Mark J like the 1960s song says “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing”.
Waiting for info on the engine? I have the 2018 and really like the 6 cyl. That it has, please don’t change the engine to a turbocharger, Huge mistake and I will be buying something else this fall if the 4cyl. Is all that’s available!!
It’ll be the same as the Traverse and Acadia.
No Rick the mistake is leaving the V6 in the enclave because the 3.6 has had I don’t know if it still has had timing chain problems… I’ll take take the turbo 4 cylinder with more HP and tourqe…it’s not 1985 anymore Turbo engines are reliable!
What’s the matter? Wouldn’t you like to have 325 HP?! That”s what the 2.5 L turbocharged 4 cylinder in the 2025 Enclave will produce. I have a Buick Cascada convertible with a 1.6 L 4 cylinder engine and it puts our 200 HP and 200 lb-ft of torque! I had a 2001 Pontiac Firebird convertible with a 3.8 L V-6 that only produced 200 HP. It was beautiful but was a real dog on the road. (I couldn’t locate a red V-8 anywhere.) Don’t get overly concerned about the number of cylinders. Just get set to feel the torque from the 4 cylinder!
My mother has a 2018 and that is ELEGANT looking. This thing is absolutely HIDEOUS looking. Please don’t do this, otherwise she will go to an Acadia or Traverse. She loves her Enclave
What’s up with the upward arching beltline here – that is so yesterday? Even Chevy has finally ditched it with the new Nox. The sketches GM released for the nest gen Enclave shows less rounded more angular and crisp lines. https://gmauthority.com/blog/2024/01/gm-teases-2025-buick-enclave-with-design-sketches/
I hope it looks a bit more different than this and I hope GM doesn’t do what Honda did with the Passport just being a shortened Pilot.
Dear GM Authority. Please stop grafting the next gen. design language on the current platform. For those of us that have seen the 2025 Enclave, this is not even a little bit close. OK, maybe the split light nose is slightly reminiscent of what is to come, but the rest is just plain wrong. Windshield rake, rear quarters, doors, and tail are the current car. Patience is a virtue.
You need to stop “rendering” things that are not close to reality. This is a current gen Enclave with the Envision face on it – not indicative of the new one.
We’ve already seen teaser sketches and the shape has more in common with the new Acadia than the current gen.
I can’t wait to see how they incorporate the next generation of Buick portholes on the fender. Designers did a great job with the ones on the current model, that debuted on the Avenir and Avista concepts but KIa and VW copied it. To me, this design feature reflects Buick’s rich history but also makes the car stand out.
No need to play make believe (some people think renderings are the actual model), just wait until the real deal is released.
So somebody Photoshopped an Envista facia onto a 2023 Enclave. Ugh!
I hope it looks more like this than some of the other mules I’ve seen online. They basically look like the GMC model with the unattractive Buick nose grafted on. IMO this will further decrease Enclave sales as they sell 90% in the same showroom as GMC and why pay more for a vehicle that is basically the same with an uglier front fascia with a higher price tag? At least before to me the Enclave was always the best looking of the Lambdas, now I’m not to hopeful. This has the roofline of the outgoing model so unfortunately I doubt it is very accurate but IMO it is pretty good looking (I just bought a ‘24 Enclave Avenir) although I’m not a huge fan of the new Buick nose especially on a bigger vehicle, its not to bad on the Encore. It truly seems GM is bent on killing off Buick which was their foundational brand and if they do cancel my favorite brand I will not be buying any more GM products , it will be Ford or Mopar for me.
