For those full-size GM SUV customers that have an itch for extra oomph under the hood, PaxPower has a solution. The performance specialist recently announced the launch of its new supercharged Jackal SUV upgrade for the Chevy Tahoe, Chevy Suburban, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, and Cadillac Escalade, upping the ante with as much as 650 horsepower.
The package is highlighted in a new video that covers the basics of what’s on offer, while also providing a good look at one of the Jackal SUVs sitting parked in a loading dock. As it turns out, the package is a lot more than just a blower.
“At PaxPower, suspension is often our first priority,” the video host states. To that end, the Jackal SUV is equipped with a set of 2.5-inch coilovers from reputable off-roader brands like King Shocks, Icon Vehicle Dynamics, or Fox Racing. The coilovers are paired with tubular fabricated control arms, while on this particular Chevy Suburban, the rig rides on a set of 20-inch Fuel wheels wrapped in a 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tire. Meanwhile, under the front rolling gear, you’ll find a six-piston Brembo brake system to help shed all the newfound speed.
Diving under the hood, you’ll find the 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, which, in factory-stock spec, produces a maximum of 420 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm. However, with a new 3.0L Whipple supercharger bolted on top, those figures rise to 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, with the supercharger adding roughly 7.5 to 8 psi of boost to the equation.
“Those of you that follow GM builds know that that’s the same power you can get from and Escalade-V, at a much lower price point,” the video host states.

Notably, PaxPower says this package will also work with the upcoming 2025 model-year refresh for the General Motors full-size SUVs.
